I think you've taken the hardest possible look at our season.
That said I am optimisitic but here are my thoughts....
RICHMOND (TD) will start favourites and win
COLLINGWOOD (TD) will start underdogs but Collingwood are going as badly as we are
BRISBANE LIONS (G) will start underdogs
MELBOURNE (TD) will win comfortably
WESTERN BULLDOGS (TD) will start underdogs but I still think we are a chance
SYDNEY SWANS (TS) underdogs but Sydney always gives us a chance
FREMANTLE (TD) favourites and will will win
NORTH MELBOURNE (C) unsure, but we will win
CARLTON (MCG) will win
HAWTHORN (TD) underdogs but as we showed at TD last year we can beat them
WEST COAST EAGLES (S) they are going ordinary but still a hard trip
PORT ADELAIDE (TD) haven't played at TD for 6 or so years a big chance
COLLINGWOOD (MCG) a chance
FREMANTLE (S) they are useless this could be for our season
ADELAIDE (TD) can beat them here
ESSENDON (TD) will beat them
We'll win a minimum of a further 8 games this year.

12 wins may not make the 8 - our percentage will work against us - the boys need to learn to crush teams and not take the foot off the pedal - remember a few years back when we'd thrash the inferior clubs (milney v brisbane a perfect example) -should have done the same to essendon and carlton this year.
Hope and expect us to crush Richmond

If and only on the basis of our boys getting their A Grade game going and attack, attack, attack we are capable of winning 14 games out of the remaing 16, losing to Brisbane at Gabba and Hawthorn at TD OR C'wood at MCG.
I am an optimist I'll admit but my prediction is very possible if the team performance is improved to the level I believe they are capable.

It's too hard to predict the mindset of the team at this stage of the season. Let's face it, they've had a big wake up call in recent weeks but none more harsher than the last week. Amazing some of the things that can turn teams. I've seen it happen literally overnight with the Saints before....it can sure happen again. Don't write us off so fast!
When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

we lost the first 4 in '97, got roasted in the media, heart to heart with Alves during the week, made the GF, wouldda won with football's biggest twat P Everitt playing. Never underestimate the ability for a roasting from the public, some embarrassing performances, and coach's preparedness to axe the fioras, fishers, blakes to get the point made things need to improve - i agree that brisbane in brisbane and hawthorn at TD are thorny, the rest are all winable.

12 wins would put us just in the 8 or just out of the eight i would rather finish in the bottom 2 then finish ninth at least we could pick up Natanui or Rich finishing 15th or 16th if we are to botom out i would rather it now then in the next few years when the GC rapes the draft !LENNY LEADS THE WAY wrote:I'll be happy with 9 more wins taking us to 12 for the season is this possible i frigging hope so
