Life as a Saints Supporter
Saturday Afternoon - At/watching/listening to the game.
Saturday Evening - Utter frustration, wanting to smash things into tiny little pieces. Post kneejerk reactions on internet forums.
Sunday - Ignore every other game of football, try and forget all about yesterday. Continue posting abusive/overly critical things.
Monday - Try and figure out what went wrong on saturday, start thinking some rational thoughts about gameplans, structures and players.
Tuesday and Wednesday - Convinced that you know exactly what went wrong, why, and how to fix it, you try and convince internet bretheren of this, most people agree and a general concensus is formed. Hope comes good when training reports come in, that injured players trained and players looked skilful.
Thursday - Eagerly await team sheets, check forums for early ins/outs rumours. Once teams are released, have a whinge about why certain players continue to get a game, and others are overlooked.
Friday - Excitement builds, footy is back on tomorrow and we're in for a good shot at a win. The bookies might not have us as favourites but our team is great and we have made some good selection changes which should make us improve heaps.

I'm the same i'll watch every single game even after a loss only coz i have to follow super coach scores heheiwantmeseats wrote:nice one, im the same. Except I still like to watch as many other matches if I can. After a shouse performance, it helps me forget.

Hmmm pretty close.
Except I too like to watch the differing styles of oppo teams and see which teams I like the style of and why, and try to figure out their strengths and weaknesses.
And I now really enjoy watching stars of other teams - fifteen years ago I wouldn't have gone to an oppo game to watch superstars or great teams - I've mellowed.

Sometimes I sit at home and wonder how sad it is I watch so much footy. Many dont understand.
Without footy my life is nothing i will watch every game in each time slot unless i'm at work that's why a saints loss hurts so bad it is life people.

Exactly, i have always had a theory (so has my mother) that the players read into this and start to cruise. Stupid i know, but not that unbelievable with some of the other things of the sort going around.
