Why is it ok for the media to be questioning the Baker case - and criticising the AFL - but heaven help us if a Saints supporter comes on here and questions it!! Plugger will come after ya!! What is your problem?? This is a St.Kilda SUPPORTER fan forum - err, we are peed off at the decision against Baker comparable to other cases. Yes he is back now, it's all over, BUT it should never have happened in the first place. And we come on here and say so - but you have to come on and have a crack at St.Kilda supporters still having a gripe about it ... why???
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

Sometimes u've just gotta move on.
Ok fair enough carry on at 1st but it gets to the stage where enough is enough
100 percent behind the saints 100 percent of the time
Because it doesnt matter in more. No one is listening apart from saints supportors. Will it help us play better next week. No one ever mentions that he should have had an extra week against Carlton apart from some stupid rule and if he had never been reported again would have got away with a weeks suspension without serving it. You can say what you like and I will continue to have my opinion.yipper wrote:Why is it ok for the media to be questioning the Baker case - and criticising the AFL - but heaven help us if a Saints supporter comes on here and questions it!! So what gets written on here has to matter?? Since when?? This is the internet!! If a Saints supporter wants to vent their spleen over the Baker fiasco then let em' What's it matter to you or the AFL or anyone else??plugger66 wrote:Because it doesnt matter in more. What year should we stop? I have a slight feeling if we were playing as well as the Cats not many would care.yipper wrote:So what gets written on here has to matter?? Since when?? plugger, cant you see, as a Saints fan, the unjustness (is that a word?)?
Barry Hall, charge down graded and wins a premiership medal after clear vision of him striking off the ball
Barry Hall, king hits a player with perfect video evidence and an umpires report and has his sentence erased by injury. AFL rules cant allow for a further penalty once injury heals
Daniel Kerr, 3 matches for headbutting with clear video evidence and an umpires report.
Steven Baker..4 weeks (see you wont need to whinge that it wasnt seven) with NO umpire report and NO video evidence
.........and you wonder why people tend to have a grizzle about it????
You sounds like a pretty rational supporter who sees the big picture most of the time. But...surely you have been around footy long enough to realise that not everyone is blessed with these attributes..and those who arent dont have to be clueless idiots
The vast majority of Saints fans think Bakes was dudded badly. We dont (well maybe a few!) think it was the AFL ganging up on St Kilda, but in the case of the Hall/Maguire incident. its not just Saintys fans who think that the tribunal had one eye on the "developing Sydney market" when the decision was reached.

Let's keep going on about it until the AFL overhaul the Tribunal system, and/or sack Adrian Anderson. Injustices should never be let go or forgotten about. If FANS want to come on here and have another crack - so be it. Don't read it if it annoys you so much!!

I have said many times Bakes was unlucky but however way you look at it and people deny it, it sounds like people think the AFL are picking on us.saint66au wrote:Well saidyipper wrote:Why is it ok for the media to be questioning the Baker case - and criticising the AFL - but heaven help us if a Saints supporter comes on here and questions it!! I say lets forget about it and worry about winning games of footy.
As for Barry Hall can you imagine how many pages we would have on this site if a Saints player broke a hand that was the fault of AFL ground Manager. Are you saying he should have an extra penalty because he broke a hand through no fault of his own. Please if this happened to one of our players we would have to shut the site down bacause there would be 500 people trying to post at once on how unjust the AFL are.

A Saints player DID break their wrist on an AFL ground - the Gabba, on the concrete wall that surrounds the ground!! The AFL did nothing about how that incident occured.plugger66 wrote:I have said many times Bakes was unlucky but however way you look at it and people deny it, it sounds like people think the AFL are picking on us.saint66au wrote:Well saidyipper wrote:Why is it ok for the media to be questioning the Baker case - and criticising the AFL - but heaven help us if a Saints supporter comes on here and questions it!! The coach and his team need to worry about winning games - we just barrack and support, that's our job!! So , when one of our own players is done in - then we have a whinge, we talk about it - that's what a forum is for!!

Seriously plugger66, go have a chat with lenny regarding his hand injury (when he was in awesome form) when the scott thugs swung him into the fence......plugger66 wrote:I have said many times Bakes was unlucky but however way you look at it and people deny it, it sounds like people think the AFL are picking on us.saint66au wrote:Well saidyipper wrote:Why is it ok for the media to be questioning the Baker case - and criticising the AFL - but heaven help us if a Saints supporter comes on here and questions it!! btw, good to see that it's alright to reverse a match result when the umpire doesn't hear the siren but have 19 men on and that helps you get a draw, you get fined......
I have also noticed you tend not to get involved in any of the actual debates around these issues, just pull out your usual lines "it's in the history, happens to everyone, lots are watching the football,,,, yada yada yada"......
All AFL teams where born equal, just some more equal then others.....
