Lyon v Clarkson

Post: # 556788Post Bernard Shakey »

For those of you with Foxtel, what did you think of Alistair Clarkson tonight v Ross Lyin last week?

For mine:

Clarkson; An enthusiastic coach, proud of his boys and with a clear idea of where his team is going.

Lyin; A coach who is not sure what he is doing and what his team is capable of.

Go and support Whorethorn then. Seems like you are a top notch Saints man to e potting the coach in such a pathetic manner

Just stating my opinion joffaboy, sorry it doesn't agree with yours.

Your opinion is obviously the only one allowed on your forum.

How do the mods allow you to get away your outrageous bullying.

I am only concerned with the wellbeing of the St Kilda Football Club, not my ego.

Why Lyin?

Because he never gives a straight answer and thinks if nobody knows what's going on at Moorabbin we will surely win.

Hamill 2 weeks

Gardiner 2 weeks

thats an opinion is it? To call the coach a liar by changing his name.

Go and barrack for Whorethorn you turncoat.

You are not a Saints supporter, you are just a whining hypocrite.

Go to the wees and poos, they are welcome to the likes of you.

Do I think that Lyon sometimes likes to keep things to himself? Yes I do

Am I worried about it? Not really

Is there a chance that Joffaboy has taken his angry pills tonight? Yes there is

Unlike you changing the coach's name to sn insult?

Ross Lyon has done nothing more than every other Coach has done in terms of tnformation given to the public.

Silly, silly little man.

"Go and say it to his face".

I have, and he just minced off with his silly little walk.

joffaboy, wake up, just because Ross says something doesn't mean it is gospel.

Just because I object to the way you behave on this forum doesn't mean I'm not a Saints supporter. I'll guarantee I've seen more Saints games than you have.

this is a question of support Shakey.

When we need it most. When the club needs it most.

It's ok to criticize and question....but you can still support.

And bad mouthing a guy who no doubt is doing his best ain't the way.

Support? All I have done my whole life is support St Kilda.

Bad Mouthing? All I have done is ask the opinion of this forum as to the performance of our coach and Hawthorn's coach on On The Couch and I have been bad mouthed by an egotistical lunatic.

Obviously 8,000 odd, and I do mean odd, posts counts for everything on this forum.

You don't call changing the name of our Coach from Lyon to Lyin 'bad-mouthing'?

Why would you post a thread title that is designed to be disparaging and derogatory to our Club Coach if you didn't want/expect the responses you received?

Nobody has addressed the question.

Who performed better on On The Couch? Lyon (changed to satisfy touchy posters) or Clarkson?

Maybe no-one wants to dignify your baiting thread with a reasoned response?

Maybe posters are offended by your character assasination of our Coach?

I don't know, I didn't see either interview so I couldn't give you an answer even if I was inclined to.

Maybe if you recognized that you have made a mistake by calling our Coach Lyin and rectified it you might be more successful in eliciting responses (if you are actually really interested in them)?

I suspect though that you have garnered the types of response you were looking for.

I have no doubt both coaches are proud of their boys...
just easier to use the phrase after a win.
why just mention Clarkson.

cheap shot

Simple.
Because Clarkson was on tonight and Ross was on last week.

Thank you.
As I said previuosly I didn't see either interview so I cannot comment on them.
But I would have thought that a coach who is sitting 6-0 is obviously going to be more comfortable than one who is sitting 3-2 and who has had 2 days of public controversy about his captain sledging an opposition player. One who also had had a critical article written about his team by a recently retired 'legend'.

One coach has had a great start to the season whilst the other had had some 'problems'.

Given these circumstances would you have expected Lyon to be all 'happy' and forthcoming?
