Kerr v Baker: How many weeks?

Steven Baker got 7 weeks for having some Freo hack run into his back. Kerr head butts some Doggie hack and there is little outcry. The offence is worth at least seven weeks in my book, especially given Kerr's dirty record.

no way in the world will he get 7 weeks.
he'll get three at the most because they'll come up with some excuse like he tripped in a rabbit hole on the oval and fell forward propelling his forehead into the oppositions player.

ill be watching this one with interest come tribunal time this week

WCE are financially sound and have a recent premiership, crowds are good.

kerr to get nailed.

had that been goodes or bolton the other player would have got 4 weeks.

I'd love to have heard Roos defence.

No, no, no, they will say that Scotty stopped suddenly when he was running backwards, causing Kerr to run into him and suspend West for seven. The blurred vision can be used to prove any point, including that there were two shooters on the grassy knoll!

Dunno the exact points, but with high contact, behind the play, intentional, medium force etc... Kerr can start packing his bags for the Mid season break already.

With his record, if he gets less than 4 or 5, he can count himself very lucky.

With West Coast in the form they're in, perhaps the mercy defence can be used.

theres video, ive seen it,
its footage from behind kerr and u can see him put his head down and push forward with it.
its quite clear what his intentions were.
the footage isnt the best but its quite clear what he did.

the AFL and its subordinate bodies such as the review panel and the tribunal chose to interpret events as they see and please.

it means that someone had a video camera and caught the incident on tape/film/disc/whatever

but yeah, they will take a look at west and see that he has no marks on his face and throw it out

WCE are not in the finals race this year...

Conspiray theory would dictate that this time he will get a few weeks....rather than the getting off for punching a guy it the nuts because of the I was actually aiming elswhere line...whereas Baker got time for swinging and missing completely let alone getting someone in the nuts.

going back a few years now.

For the umpteenth time Baker's "exemplary" record compounded his sentence, the offence was 4 weeks plus another 3 for previous offences. Kerr will get 3 to 4 (depending on his previous charges) at the most as West was not injured in the incident, apart from having his hair messed up.

should get at least 7 (headbutting is as bad as punching IMO).

But hell there is vision, that means he can't get what baker got, so give him a suspended sentance of 33 points and a bandaid for his head!
