I was amazed when we appointed him...I am still amazed that we are letting him play coach with our team.
In the coaching panel he is the only one without ANY premiership or even Grand Final experience.
I think over half the team would have more finals experience than him.
Not that it matters as September is a long way away for us.

Finally some sense from a poster.
If we don't the most in-ept forward line (and I mean in structure not personal) then I'll go he. I can't work out what our system is other than a long bob from the midfield, usually a mongral punt and having 2 or three tall forwards trying to out mark each other.
If not, it's trying to pick out a leading milne in between three tall defenders. In todays footy you can't just bang long into the fwd line as defenders zone off and have ample time to effect the spoil.
We just don't seem to be able to spot up a free man inside 50 like every other side in the compitition does with ease. The majority of our goals tonight were either luck or very hard work.
So my question to Mr Barker is, what are you doing to earn your pay packet? I've seen local footy with better fwd set ups. It just looks like kick and hope to me.

In terms of ability our forward line looks worldbeaters on paper.
In terms of results, we struggle to get a respectable losing score.
Is it Barker's plan, or is he simply enforcing Lyon's plan ?

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Yes, that's Part 1 of The Plan. The Peanut wrote:What is the plan? ... stuff around until Roo is at least double teamed and then bomb it in?
Part 2 is - Then don't apply any tackling pressure and allow the opposition to run it straight out before our defence can regroup.

Barker ran hot and cold as a player and was mostly a passive observer from the injury bench.
Perhaps he coaches the same way ?

Thank you - yes, my mistake - there is a two part plan and I forgot to mention the most important part.Enrico_Misso wrote:Yes, that's Part 1 of The Plan. The Peanut wrote:What is the plan? ... stuff around until Roo is at least double teamed and then bomb it in?

So true - watched the Dogs tonight.......scored very freely when bringing it in.TAGHLAO wrote:Finally some sense from a poster.

The difference?
We lack any system going fwd for sure BUT more importantly we just (outside Milne) have any other avenues to goal outside of a hopelessly outnumbered Roo or Kosi - it hist the deck and rebounds out with %
Where are some developing HFF????...where the f@rks is our Motlop/Ebert???....to compliment Riewoldt??
Nup 1 trick pony and I must say we cant allow oppo sides to have a spare man in our fwd line to zone off on Riewoldt.
