Play a forward who so far, has been terrible in the games he's played, against a team he's been terrible against, the same team we have beaten once in the last 10 games, at their home ground.matrixcutter wrote:what a joke sending him down to tassie.
should be fronting up at aami stadium.
shoot the selectors this week.............they picked birss as well.

Well post Casey game GTrain did not crack it fora mention ...or for a goal.
IF he was at FF that does not bode well for him returning to the seniors anytime soon...

Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....
Yeah I was very surprised with Birss over Frase. I would have loved to see the big man there, but hasn't really played his best footy at AAMI with the exception of the Prelim Final. Never been great for us against Port either. But still dissapointed he is not playing. He better be back for us against Richmond....matrixcutter wrote:what a joke sending him down to tassie.

Most of the second and fourth quarters G-train played half forward today.
Third quarter he played from the square but didn't get much in the way of delivery to him. Had one goal bound shot marked on the line by a colleague.
He didn't look very interested but then you can never tell with Fraser.
Tasmania played well through the centre and made a lot more of the ball that they had.
McQualter showed great foot skills on a couple of occasions but very poor decision making today.
Clarke looked good in bursts, as did Gwilt, without being outstanding.
Ferguson's opponent kicked 4.
In the three and a bit quarters I saw there isn't anyone providing any pressure for places in the St Kilda side.

It's all about match-ups with Gehrig me thinks. Not every game will suit and this is the way footy is played nowadays.
Rocca was a last minute withdrawal today and it worked a treat. Knights tried to work it in his favour by playing Fletcher forward. Whatever!
Gehrig's time will come....he would know it depends on match-ups.

sorry, just a small correction, Rocca should never be put anywhere near the same category as Gehrigjohnpeterbudgefanclub wrote:It's all about match-ups with Gehrig me thinks. Not every game will suit and this is the way footy is played nowadays.

Rocca has always been medicore at best, you would have won today whether he was playing or not, more due to the fact that Essendon are no good

The way things are looking at the moment he should only be played against Carlton, Melbourne and Richmond or when Roo or Kosi are out, sad way to finish a career...
