I LIKE TO WELCOME BACK - THE BAKER
Jagshemash!
My very good friends, I am very happy to see my most favourite Saint to be playing on Saturday - The Baker.
Most people say we have no chance at Amy's stadium, but I predict biggest victory since bloodshed on Uzbekistan.
War will be won with GREAT SUCCESS!

I still am at a loss to explain or understand why he copped 7 weeks for that.
It still angers me.
Makes me believe in conspiracies.
And means I will never ever trust the AFL and it's inconsistent tribunal.
Though I guess it was consistent with them convicting Bakes, and only Bakes, of an "attempted" striking charge.
He still bears the scars of Alessio's boot stops in his shin bone and the shameful victimisation of the unaccountable tribunal.
Of course if he had won a Brownlow, and played for Sydney, and was aboriginal, and was called Goodes - he would have a totally clean record !
Go Bakes - you are an inspiration !

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Well said Borat, can't wait to see him back out there tomorrow. No doubt we've need him the last 7 weeks.

Mods when are you going to do something about this crap??
When the F*** did Nicky Winmar get "special treatment" for being aboriginal? What about Byron Pickett?
Getting tired of this garbage. Goodes got off because of one thing and one thing only
SYDNEY DISCOUNT
They all get it regardless of creed or colour.
Please stop this mindless racism from the same tawdry cabbages please.
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Not so sure about that ?karnak wrote:agree 100% nothing to do with it.
I first remember Goodes playing in an under 18 warm-up match before that historic Prelim against North in 97.
He played a fantastic game, and I memorised his name, hoping we might pick him up.
Didn't happen unfortunately.
Went on to become a key player and won a well earned Brownlow.
AFL promoted it as a "good-news" story - which it was - "Aboriginal role model wins Brownlow".
Since then his game has deteriorated, as has his attitude.
He now frequently resorts to cheap shots.
More recent examples …
Exhibit 1 - his full on attack/charge from behind of that Melb player last year after he had taken the ball.
Everyone was speculating how many weeks - and he got none !!!!
Exhibit 2 - 2 weeks ago a cheap punch to the stomach - probably with 10 times for force than the Gehrig tummy tap to Cloke - and the result ? - let off !!!!!!!!
Why ?
1) Is it the Sydney factor ?
Partly yes, but Goodes seems to get an even better ride than the rest of them.
2) Is it his Brownlow medal ?
Quite possibility - always an embarrassment when a Brownlow medallist gets rubbed out ?
3) Is it his aboriginality ?
He has been proudly presented as a role model, so again an embarassment for him to be rubbed out.
I suspect it is a combination of all 3 factors that seems to give him a permanent "Get out of Jail" card.
