For rising star nomination? He is certainly a huge chance this week if not.

no; must have played less than ten games coming into the year of nomination, and under 21,
but can be nominated twice and someone last year was,

Has Palmer been nominated yet? A certainty if he hasn't gotten the nomination already.

B.Houli, J.Hill, R.Palmer, K.Jack have been nominated so far - C.Rioli, D.Armitage, C.Masten, B.McKinley (I think he is currently 21, does that make him eligible?) would have to be close for nominations in the next few weeks

I believe he has to be under 21 at the start of the season, which I believe he wasn't.

Armo's game was certainly worthy, but the RS selectors prefer to give the nomination to a player who's had a few good games if possible. Anything could happen though because in 4 weeks they've made two bluners (Houli over Hill, Jack over Rioli).

Houli was there best on Friday so I fail to see the mistake.

Except he was the nominee in round one, not Friday night. Hill was far more deserving of the nomination that week. And Rioli was more deserving of it than Jack last week.

Armo would have to a big show for this week. 20 touches plus two goals but they weren't cheap touches with five clearences in their, plus he put on some great tackles. McKinley with 5 goals from West Coast would be the other or maybe Kreuzer who was very impressive.

Armo will need to string 3-4 games together before he gets a nomination. He will get a nomination, just not yet !!

Would hope to see Armo and Geary get a nom sometime during the year but IMO it would have to go to either Hill or Tomahawk this week...
Hopefully Armo gives them no other choice but to give him the nod the week after...

Well done McKinley, a deserving nominee, snuck under my radar, I could have sworn he was about 23 :? :?

Only a matter of time before Armo gets his, even if he doesn't win the thing we still know we've got a future star and possibly a future captain amongst us...

Eligability is under 21 at the start of the calendar year, if anybody else was confused.

If armo keeps playing like he did on Friday night, he'll get a nomination. McKinley has been good for a few weeks in a row.

Ahh, so is the criteria for Rising Star based on being good 3 games in a row, or similar???

If so, Mt. McKinley deserves it.....never heard of the bloke until today, and now hear he's kicked 12 goals in 3 games.

Reason: I don't have foxtel, so I rarely see WCE play!

The criteria is an outstanding player who meets the eligability requirements. It's vague, and by those standards, Armo could have won. In practice they tend to favour players with multiple good games. Another strong showing next week could net Armo a nomination, although Rioli and Gamble are probably next in line if all things are equal.
