A couple more home truths!!
Harvey is an outright champion...no doubt about it.
Gehrig has been a super player for us and 1 of the best trades we have ever done.
If St.kilda were a true professional club both would have retired last season. Lyon forgot the most important law in football. No player is bigger than the club.
Discuss.

Gehrig did retire. We are now paying him a lower salary and there is no guarantee he will play 22 games this year, or even play in a grand final if we should make it. He took the spot on the list of a pick #59 draft. A former coleman medalist and elite player should be given every opportunity to continue to prove their worth.
Harvey was and still is a champion, he will offer more to the club (on and off field) this year than 75% of the rest of the team, which I'm sure Nexus will agree that is as much of a praise of Harvs as it is a blight on the rest of the tema.

You are all missing my point. I know Harvey is still good enough to play but what would have been more important is Armitage getting 20 games under his belt this year. With Harvey in the team, that is not going to happen.Otiman wrote:Gehrig did retire. He will get games if he is good enough. That's life as an AFL footballer. "Playing the kids" is a weak excuse, make them earn their spot. I still think Armitage should be played ahead of some of the other blokes in the team anyway.NeXuss wrote:You are all missing my point. Sorry Forum rules prevent an honest reply to your question....NeXuss wrote:I am asking everyone to be honest and to give their opinion. If the moderators want to lock this thread go right ahead. I don't think they will because in my mind it is a legitimate question that has to be asked.

True, I get better results screaming at a brick wall, at least I can get an echo of my own words.SENsaintsational wrote:Seriously, don't bite to the obvious fishing troll after attention.
Look at the other threads. It's all about HIM. If he doesn't get his attention, he screams louder.

I am probably diametrically opposed to Jboy, jburns, b4e and a number of others on issues.
but I have a fair degree of certainty that they support st kilda.
same can't be said of nexuss.
