What the hell are we worried about then? If Port Adelaide haven't won a game and you still consider them top 4, we have to be top 2 certainties.

Fact?

Fact is we have played two of the teams I rated highly – Sydney and Geelong.

Fact is we scraped in ugly against Sydney.

Fact is we got flogged by Geelong.

Fact is we played two teams I rated way way below us.

Fact is Dogs smashed us with our most embarrassing turnaround since the Hawks debacle.

Fact is we were 58 up on the Blues and we eased off and beat them by 40 in a display that showed we no longer know how to destroy a team that is rubbish.

Fact is we are going to be outside the 8 most likely after 4 rounds, with an underwhelming percentage of 90, all played at our scary Telstra Dome, the place you don’t want to take on the Saints.

Fact is I had us pencilled in to be 3/4 with a positive percentage.

Fact is up until twelve months ago I would not have tipped us to lose to Geelong, but apparently these days it’s okay to lose and we can accept it as long as it was a good effort by the boys.

From that thread, fact is there is another generation of Saints supporters coming through who are happy to accept mediocrity.

Fact is Melbourne supporters would have been very happy with their honorable loss at Skilled last weekend by 30 points.

Fact is we have pretty much the fullest list we’ve had to choose from in 4 years.

Fact is, hard decisions have to be made.

Fact is we still have to play some hard arse teams that I had in my top eight. And the way we are playing right now, at round 4, we are going to struggle against them.

we out played geelong for a quarter, they adjusted their team play and rolled us.

we outplayed footscray for a quarter, they adjusted and rolled us.

tbh what geelong did to us wasn't that different to the 'worst game ever' as reported when hawthorn beat us at the start of last year... of course hawthorn adapted and we didn't.

we seem to have never adapt and get overrun

its pretty depressing

we certainly have sufficient talent and ability, we had the cats pressured for 3/4

when we do play its seems like we do so as a collection of individuals, nota s a team.
