Shots inside 50 on the full should be a $500 fine!
What a joke.
How dare our players kick the ball on the full inside 50.
It's not friggin Amateur Hour, it's the A Forking L.
Miss inside 50 and kick it on the full should be a club imposed $500 fine that goes back to our club.
May sound harsh, but FFS it's the AFL not the under 8's, and there is NO excuse at TD to kick it on the full when in range!
None, zippo, narda!

I totally agree mate and it sounds like avery good idea.
But if i could make one change to it i think it should be upto the playing group as a whole to come up with a fine i.e if a power foward such as roo kicks it out on the full from straight in front then maybe it could be $750 or close to $1000 sounds harsher but i think it will make them learn.

Average player payment is a little under $1,000 per possession.
Your criticism is valid they are supposed to be professionals.
Kicks off balance or under pressure may be excusable but not set shots from close in.
The only problem with your remedy is we would have a team of 22 times Luke Ball.
"When I am inside the 50 metre arc, I can't kick more than 25 metres, because I never had osteitis pubis, so I miss kicked a pass to a team mate instead and avoided the fine".
Geelong 31 scoring shots, St Kilda 29 scoring shots, many out of bounds on the full or dropped short allowing ball to be touched.
The better team kicked better.
They hit their targets on the full , kicked straight and wopped our saints.

Maybe but there is always a way around rules. Push up, laps around the oval, etc. We're just not improving at all. Remind who our forward coach is again!!!!!!!!!st_Trav_ofWA wrote:yeah im sure the players association will allow that serioulsy there is no way on this gods green earth that would come into effect

I see your point here.plugger66 wrote:I gree because they will think about that when they are kicking and will definatly kick a goal.
Basically if players are having issue kicking under percieved pressure of set shots, potentially placing a fine over their heads if they miss will just make the situation worse.
If it's a technique thing, then yeah, sure. Psychology wise, you're dancing with the devil on this one.
