Dempster...how did he go???
Ok..for those that watched the Casey game how did Dempster go?????
He is one of a number of possible players that could come in this week.
So how was his form on Saturday night?

Marigliani is a great footballer, andf probably one of the dolphins best on the weekend.iceman wrote:looked to be following Marigliani on the wing who is a good footballer.
Didn't really do a great job. Has speed and skill, didn't really assert himself on the game though, did better after 1/2 time.
dempster will be a real asset i feel though

First game in quite some time, give him a couple of runs to see how he goes...Otiman wrote:Still, if he can't "cut it" against VFL players, how is he going to stand up against Geelong?fonz_#15 wrote:Marigliani is a great footballer, andf probably one of the dolphins best on the weekend.

Having said that though, I don't really rate him that much, the only way I can see him making it into the team is if he improves his own ball winning and use abilities, he has a great kick but lacks the confidence to go for it, Lyon has seemed pretty good at getting the best out of players like that so hopefully the trend continues, and hopefully he can start getting the best out of our proven guns...

from memory this would have been Sean's first game?
after knee arthroscope a few weeks ago.
would think a few more weeks to get up to speed.

Thanks for all the replies and info.
So summarsing....he has played only one game plus the intraclub.
That game he looked ok but not flash.
So for him to be selected one would expect that RL would have to be mighty disappointed in a player or two in the seniors last week...and/or that he is an ideal match for a niche that RL has in mind (ie to replace L fisher or Blake asa run with tagger).
You would imagine though that he would have another game or two at Casey to get match fit and practiced before getting a call up.

yeah I dunno about goose. I've seen him play twice for Casey and he didn't stand out too me (though I wasn't watching the backs much in the sandy game).ralphysaints35 wrote:think he will play the same week goose plays,
goose wouldnt be too far away one wouldnt think
I'd love to see him come back in and get back to his best but I'd hate for him to come back in and play like he did early last year. he struggled with the new marking contest rules, iirc, hopefully he's got some new techniques sorted out.
also I thought the umpiring was a bit more lenient in the VFL (in terms of marking contests), so that might make it harder for him stepping up to AFL
