This report will have to do for the moment but there was a guy there sitting down taking notes so lets hope he was an SS poster.

The fairly active training session incorporated some relay play from one end of the ground to the other – the emphasis appeared to be on ‘backing-up’, ‘co-ordination at full speed’ and ‘talking’, whatever that is in footy terms. :? They were all focused on the training – at one stage an older lady asked some boys for an autograph when they were heading to the fence for stretching – one of them refused and said that they were training and none of the others even looked, such was their focus.

Kingy – Wasn’t to be seen on the track until later in the session – he came out with Lenny in their track suits and did some kick to kick (both looked OK). I think Lenny had been out before though in the normal training gear.
McEvoy – Was actively involved – puffing and panting but keeping up.
Max trained in a separate group with C Gardiner, Jimmy Gwilt, BJ and Rixy – all looked fine and in good spirits
Bakes did lots of maximum speed sprints, weaving between posts and other work on his own – as usual – poor bugger – looks like he has been on the weight too – one hell of a unit.
M Gardiner looked OK but did not train with the main group
Fiora and C Jones looked good and sharp
Don’t remember seeing Goose but he may have been there
Eljay was fully involved with the main group so whatever happened on Saturday night must have been minor, however I couldn’t spot Chivers.
Grammy and Dal both trained alone for most of the time but both looked ok – no limp or anything else obvious, although I think Grammy had a bandage on his knee.
Didn’t see RL

Most notable absentee from training was Ross Lyon.

Appeared to be just a fitness session.
No urgency about it at all. Dal just jogged around as if it was a real game.

Gram looked proppy, but has for the last 18 months at training.

Lenny did not appear until the very end. Maybe he was inside planning the demise of the Cats with Ross.
