Our next win?
Just checking the ratio of panic to optimism here on the forum.
One loss is not the end of a season. The question however should be asked...is this the beginning of a slide or a bump in the road?
Where is our next win coming from?
Geelong - 10 goal loss last year
Essendon - loads more pace, run, carry and our poor record against them
Port - In Adelaide always struggle against them
Richmond - is this the week?

Remain educated on the game, stay loyal to St.Kilda

Nah, you're just one of the hundred odd posters on here at the moment who have nothing to say at all on SS when we're winning but love getting your knives out after a loss.brown-coat wrote:Round 19 2010.
I am at 100% panic mode.

Richmond , in all honesty. At which stage, its just about all over for 08, at least as far as top 4, and thats where ya need to be.
Geelong - obvious.
Essendon - will KILL us with pace through the midfield, much beter than 07.
Port - Just struggle against them consistantly, and its in ADL to boot.
So Richmond Id say. And wont the s*** be flying by then !!

Six days to our next win.
Dogs beat demons by 16 goals
Cats beat demons by 5 goals
Dogs beat us by 6 goals
So we are 5 goals better than Geelong.
OR
We beat Swans by 2 points
Swans beat Port by 68 points
Geelong beat Port by only 9 points.
So we are about 10 goals better than Geelong

But seriously, I think we will drop the next 2 and maybe pull off a miracle in Adelaide.....

I love your logic haha. the only way i can see us winning against geelong is if they bring in a few new players to the side eg. cj, armo, charlie gardiner and maybe dempster and also bring in a new game plan.my les foote wrote:Six days to our next win.

we beat them in the nab cup and no matter what anyone says a win against geelong is a win against geelong. we have proved we can beat them (at skilled stadium no less), even if geelong were without players and werent playing at full strength purely because it was the nab cup. regadless, a win is a win, so if lyon applies the same sorta game plan, brings in more pace in the midfield there is a possibility.
that being said i dont think we will win purely because we seem to get rattled very easily, especially by fast paced teams as we never seem to have the answers. so, imo, if any team could rattle us, it'd be the reigning premiers.

It won't be interstate, it'll be St. Kilda vs. Papua New Guinea Pythons at Port Moresby Oval if Andrew Demetriou has his way.bobmurray wrote:brown-coat wrote:Round 19 2010.

No doubt i'll be there ,unless it's played interstate,in which case i won't see it either because it'll be a Foxtel game......

Re: Our next win?
All bar one of our NAB Cup wins could have gone either way.Trunch wrote:Just checking the ratio of panic to optimism here on the forum.

Our R1 win could have gone either way.
The Carlton win, and I was shouted down at the time for suggesting it, wasn't exactly impressive either.
It's not the loss, it's the way we're playing.
Indecisive. Tired. Stagnant. Poor skills. Sloppy. And confused.
