BJ's return
I've waded through a little but can't see anything obvious on the thoughts about BJ's return
,Like many on the team the bad possible outweighed the bad
BUt in general it seemed to be a confident return for BJ
he ran
he kicked long
he tackled
he was tackled
and never appeared to give a hint of wariness about using his knee.

Re: BJ's return
and took at least 1 hard knock to the knee/leg that would give him cause for confidence that it (his knee) is up to the rigours of AFL football.saintbrat wrote:I've waded through a little but can't see anything obvious on the thoughts about BJ's return

Dogs Game ..Goddards Comments
"He said a lack of focus rather than leg speed was the reason for the fadeout.
“It’s not so much being run off our feet. It was the lack of concentration, especially when we do win the footy first and get a clearance. I think the boys got caught ball watching at times,â€

My answer would be yes.....aussiejones wrote:
"Interesting ..............did they think they had it won ?
IMO at the quarter break about two thirds of the team mentally relaxed and lost momentum.
In the first Q we squeezed the Dogs...gave them no room.
After quarter time the dogs suddenly had space to move in.....and then when they came back...the fear set in and various players such as raph started to fumble and turn the ball over.
Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....

What's happened to our killer instinct? We used to be able to consistently beat teams in all four quarters! Nowadays we seem to be playing one isolated quarter of footy in each game! That's not enough! we need to be playing at 100% intensity for the WHOLE game.saintsRrising wrote:My answer would be yes.....aussiejones wrote:

For a first game back it was a worthy effort.
Couple of those long accurate kicks reminded us of just how good he was in the early rounds last year.
And he will only get better !

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
