I just read somewhere that this guy is on track for resuming on the 24th May

Is this physically possible? he had radical surgery and is training un aided as we speak kicking 50 M already only 41 days since surgery

Do we have any doctors or surgeons here who can fill me in on if this is physically possible or is medicine today really getting advanced

Didn't he have a special form of reconstruction - which would allow him to return quickly but there is a risk of never being able to play again.

Such surgery is banned in France or some European country due to its massive risk.

ok,

i knew he had radical surgery but at this point in time he is on track as his muscles in his leg havent withered away so his leg is still strong and doesnt have to build it up

yeah the surgery he had is fairly old actually 15 years or something. It involves putting a synthetic ligament in instead of draft one. Meaning a quicker recovery time. The down side being the synthetic ligament can cause infection and if it fails and has to be removed and regular knee reco has to occur with a lot less chance of success than if it was done origonally.

Infection and failure can happen after he starts playing as well.
