Internal Player Assessments
Is it time to follow Geelong and the Western Bulldogs leads and force each player to assess his team mates honestly and openly within the playing group???? (have they done this before????)
It has worked wonders for both those teams and I don't see why it might not have an effect on ours
I think that maybe it is time for a few home truths to be exposed

The Devil makes work for idle hands!!!

Cannot argue with that at all! It's the best thing they could possibly do.Devilhead wrote:Is it time to follow Geelong and the Western Bulldogs leads and force each player to assess his team mates honestly and openly within the playing group???? (have they done this before????)

Yep we sure have, the whole thing was brought up last week on the footy show. Dal was asked the question and said the club had done it along with the other two panel members in Nathan Brown and Shane Crawford.Brooksy_Babe_24 wrote:We have already done that

That and the complete mental meltdown that the whole team had after half time...Richter wrote:Get a grip. It wasn't defensive football that lost us this game, it was SOFT football.
They were cooked between the ears.
"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....

eade is still a bloody average coach...against good teams his team will get spanked 90% of the timeRichter wrote:Whilst no doubt Eade pulled some rabbits out of the hat at quarter time, what can the coaches do about the fact that we were second to the ball from then on and soft as pansies when we did get there.
so they got a few cheap wins early on in the year...the first month is always like that...if we fast forward to round 22 and look back at some of the results we will be left scratching our heads at some of the results
ours will be one of them...

Like ive mentioned in another thread, this kind of critism works best after a performance that was dished out last night. The game is fresh in the minds of all involved and the home truths hurt when u go back to see the replay of that game as an individual player.Washedup wrote:And what was the thing that came up about Dal Santo in that process..................... that's right......... his defensive side needed some work. Mmm............ Great to see that he has taken it all on board and rectified it.Dal said on the footy show that we have gone thru the process
If they want to play for the jumper and show some heart, this kind of critism will hit them where it hurts. If it passes over them like fresh air, well you have to question their motive of being there. Simple!
