in all seriousness it was as though at quarter time we thought "this is too good to be true. we can't be this good. surely they are going to come back at us."

it became a self-fulfilling prophecy. the self-doubt kicked in and the they piled on goal after goal. we looked shell-shocked and brittle.

to me it is a mindset thing. rather than increasing our lead we seemed intent on defending it.

next time we're in the same situation we should put our foot on the accelerator, not the brake.
