Happens every year .....

Post: # 542277Post SaintDippa »

Too many games in a row on the concrete of Telstra Dome and we eventually put in a shocker.

To me we looked leg weary, there was no hard running into space after quarter time meaning every forward thrust was a long bomb into the F50.

Joey, Dal, Gilbert, Gram, SFisher and X all never really showed their usual zip.

Dogs looked fresher and their run was simply harder meaning any attack was nearly always contested ball.

IMO - and to take a racing term, forget this 'effort'.

And like I have said for the past 5 years we need to move away from the concrete Dome and play at least 11 games a year at the G.

Could it be that Misson has the guys in the middle of a very strenuous training block? Not making excuses, simply asking a question !!

Good Question.

IMO too many looked flat. Geez .... did any one see Joey or SFisher get out of second gear?

Hardly...and besides the Dods use Teltra as a home base too.

As RogerWA said above the Dogs wanted to win more.

Too mant Saints players basically stopped at quarter time and we had a shocking workrate.

The Dogs cranked theirs up.

The only sensible answer but lets keep making excuses.

"Fisher was great don't question Sammy"

Agreed tonight was one of our best. But the line breaking at pace was missing (as with a dozen other midfielders).

Looking at the name of this thread has goot me thinking.

If i could have 1 word to describe the saints mine would be PREDICTABLE.

There attack, there fadeaways, the way they are always going to have injurys, the way they give up so easily. The only way im going to keep on going with this list is if someone pays me - its just so depressing that people like me pour money into this club with memberships, merchandies and god knows what. But then again we will win some good ones soon and they are surely going to keep coming and being apart of the club when we are up and about well .. there uis no better place to be.
