** bottom 10 of the AFL **
out of the players who are in there teams top 22 each week

1- Chris Tarrant (Freo would be better off playing one short then having him out there)

2- Cain Ackland (seems to get worse each season he plays )

3- Ken Mcgregor (lazy disintrested useless)

4- Richard Tambling (richmond will kick themselves for years to come over that blunder)

5 - Paul Medhurst (has improved a fair bit since leaving freo but still a one trick pony)

6 - Ryan Holihan (soft as butter in an oven )

7 - Chad Fletcher (showing how badly he has rode on the cousins/judd/kerr coat tails )

8 - Jason Laycock (for such big wraps on him consistantly shows nothing

9 - Nathan Carroll (if only he was a unpredictable as his hair styles )

10 - Kepler Bradley (hasnt played yet this year but if form from Essendon continues to Freo .....)

I think you've hit the nail on the head with most of them.

I think that chad fletcher shouldnt be there everyone gave him big raps because he was part of the wce midfield, but really he isnt anything like cousins, kerr and judd. he pushes foward and kicks goals. Like selwood i think he generally plays as a defensive midfielders as well. Game changes with different opponents not like the "fab three".

being in perth i get bombarded by eagles games and i can tell you in 90% of those games Fletcher is doing nothing but getting cheep possessions the eagles and the media tout him as being an eleite midfeilder but the truth is most teams dont worry about him cause he isnt dammaging and its really coming to the attention now that hes being called apon to lead from the front

Fully fit, he's still easily the best player in the AFL for mine.
You mean the guy who almost won the brownlow from 9 games of footy last year? Pfft...

Judd is by far the best in the AFL when fit.

I do wonder whether the reason Goodes is so underrated on this forum is because the Saints have always handled him well. He and Cornes have to be the two most versatile players in the comp.

Should Judd be there? Based on last week, while the kicking may suffer from the injury, as he recovers his fitness, he'll still be able to win games just about single handed, just not as often as he once did... so maybe not for 2k8 but watch out next year.

Pav, Roo and Brown are no-brainers, as is Cox, so that only leaves room for 4 more, who else not only breaks games but makes everyone around them better? Gablett, Hodge, Bartel won last years Brownlow, all worthy choices. Should Rutten, Glass et al rate a mention? Simon Black has a Brownlow and Norm Smith to go with his 3 premierships... Buddy Franklin's looked the goods in his recent games. What about Joel Corey and Steve Johnson, and speaking of Johnson, where would the Dogs be without Brad?

Anyway, if I were drafting a team tomorrow, my top ten choices would be:

1) Dean Cox - Wins the ruck, plays as a quality mid, kicks goals, and generally decides games.

2) Jonathan Brown - Monster. Just a monster.

3) Nick Riewoldt - workrate and speed generates so much ball, and amazing in the contest too. Goalkicking concerns are overblown.

4) Matthew Pavlich - Basically interchangable with Riewoldt, if the two were traded you notice almost no difference to either side, difference in rating entirely authors bias.

5) Chad Cornes - Does everything for Port, and does it well.

6) Adam Goodes - I find myself astounded at the number of people here who don't rate a guy who won a Brownlow rucking and another as a mid... fast, kciks goal, takes marks. Amazing player.

7) Gary Ablett - Could easily rate higher if I didn't think CHF was the most important posi on the ground - which may be a bias I've developed watching the Saints play. Certainly if I already had any of the 3 CHFs listed above, I'd take this guy next.

8) L Hodge - Hard and skilled, and just keeps getting better.

9) Bartel - Last years Brownlow winner, and I'm rating him #9... is there something wrong with me?

10) Lindsay Gilbee - Had to go with at least one surprise :) fast, has size, and such a great user of the ball. Watching him last week made me miss Goddard more...
