Goodes - 1 Week
Im happy that they had footage of it, it seems like he's trying to be a tough guy on the field these days.
He game Sammy Fisher 1 last week as well, but as always no cameras got it.

He has been suspended?
Unless there is some loop-hole, where because of the points hanging over his head, which were added to his original points for the offence (which were below 100) don't count?
Stupid if so.

to be ruled ineligible for the brownlow the player must commit an offence that is over 100 points
any player that commits an offence that take him under 100 points- it was viewed at 80 points - so if he wins appeal he wont face suspension
even if he does lose and misses a week will still remain ineligible
BUT the 80 points will accrue to any further offence.

Goodes to fight striking charge
http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,865 ... 11,00.html
ADAM Goodes has decided to contest a striking charge at the AFL tribunal as he attempts to keep alive his streak of consecutive games played.
Sydney's dual Brownlow Medal winner was charged with a level-one striking offence after an incident with Port Adelaide rival Matt Thomas early in the round two match at the SCG.
Goodes will be banned for one match unless the charge is dismissed at the tribunal.
The charge leads to a reprimand worth only 80 demerit points, but Goodes, if he is found guilty, will go over the 100-point level that has an automatic one-game ban as he has 70.31 points carried over from a striking charge against Melbourne player Simon Godfrey last season.
Goodes has played 193 consecutive games, just one short of the club record set by teammate Jared Crouch - and fifth in the all-time behind Melbourne legend Jim Stynes (244).
Even if he is found guilty, Goodes will still be eligible for a third Brownlow medal as the original charge was worth fewer than 100 points.
