i reckon the pies would be a bit disappointed if rocca only kicked one goal a week

Exactly. They are always explaining that rocca is their power foward and if your power foward only kicks 1 goal a game then there is no way that you are going to win.

Who else would kick the pies goals?
Travis cloke - gets the 'yips' easily
Leon davis - has never kicked a bag of 5 and is not able to take contested overhead marks.

He's a midfielder/small crumbing forward. Is he expected to take overhead contested marks?

Im not saying that but if someone says collingwood is going to be satisfied with rocca kicking 1 a game and cloke averageing around 3 a game then your going to need someone (a small foward) kicking goals and leon is that person.

I was just pointing out that you cant expect him to be able to kick 3 or 4 every game and take huge hangers over defenders.

even bradshaw and johnston had better games than brown
how good is lappin!...he is one of my fav players.
seems to have plenty of time when making decisions and played well last night.
i picked the lions too....the pies are hot and cold for my liking (excuse the pun :P )

Brown (lions) is an up and down player.

He relies on momentum to lift him.

In the last quarter brisbanes intencity lifted so brown went harder for it.
Leaving brown (pies) sort of not knowing where brown (lions) was.

But thats just a lack of expierience and that will obviously change.

Didnt watch the game live but had a heap of text msg from Filth supporters. One about umpires apparently a free was paid against them and they wondered what was going youd swear it rarely happens the way they go on. The other was the apparent whipping N Brown and gave J Brown on the night. In the morning got up to watch the replay first thing I saw the conditions were far from perfect for a key forward second saw the umpires ignore basically all infrngments on J Brown by all Collingwood defenders. They crashed into him from all directions rode him like a horse all without penalty till the last when sanity prevailed and a free was paid. In the end J Brown took 7 marks one less than Cloke and Rocca combined at the other end. N Brown was far from belted but he hardly set the world on fire. Remember Gwilt played on Hall and Fev last year and did just as good a job with little recognition at all. Typical media build up for the Collingwood army.

Thought so...I was fairly sure Reid was first taken by the pies....

Lets hope its not another Pavlich/Fiora senario.....Nor another Franklin/Tambling one.
