I only caught the end of it, but it seemed pretty good.

Showed the famous Nth v Geel Prelim
Tudor centres from boundary to Ablett - one handed mark - siren - goal to win game - Martyn head in hands.

Then interviewed Barnes and Pagan to get their perspectives.

Saw Mickey Martyn today at the Run For The Kids. He was only doing the 5klm run....looked in pretty good shape for a gorilla.

Wish Ch7 had started it week 1 of footy season & in spite of it being in b&w shown the '63 opener of Saints vs Demons - as a young Saints supporter it was AWESOME to watch 17 year old Carl Ditterich!!!! There has never been a 1st game debut from a raw recruit like that one!!! - just wish more could see & appreciate!

Its not a matter of getting away with it, as the '94 game is how the rules should be inforced.. The game was very well umpired, and just goes to show how pathetic the umpiring of today has become..

There is no common sense used, and new rules that are being enforced under the idea of properly inforcing old rules.. There never was 'over the shoulder' or 'hands in the back'... It was (and should be) around the neck and push in the back... Massive difference..

Watching the '94 game shows just how much our game has faultered in the umpiring/rules department.. It is so damn frustrating now at the footy..
