not sure who to drop from the team but I would lean towards dropping king, play kosi as second ruck to get his hand on it more against a smaller team and add a extra midfielder in BJ.
Solar, am astonished that you're suggesting dropping King. At last we have two genuine ruckmen providing for our mid-fielders and having a big physical presence around the grounnd. King has been great so far. Last night had 18 hit-outs, provided some around the ground linkage and kicked two goals. No way would I consider not having him in the team. The recruit of the year at a swap for pick 90.
Just think apart from the goals king really struggled. His tap outs have not been hitting the mark and has been taken over as first ruck by gards. Would be happy to bring him back against the taller cats the week after, just think our structure will be better with less talls down forward.

Just a thought, would rather see our small and medium defenders stay in and we need more run from the bench against the dogs
I don't quite see the logic in dropping a bloke who you believe is struggling only to bring him back against the Cats. I don't like the thought of playing Kosi in the ruck when he's our best contested mark (equal with Fraser, but with more athleticism) and is needed in the forward 50. Fiora has good pace and terrific delivery (granted, others have to get it for him but he's getting better at that). Gilbert is consolidating his position after last season. Geary keeps covering heaps of territory and racking up possessions.
I think Raph is the obvious choice. He's gone to the Mick Martyn school of marking i.e. the double-fisted punch even when he's uncontested. He needs to find form and confidence in the seconds.

Still waiting for closure ... if you get my drift.

well I was thinking outside the square and we are playing the smallest team in the league, thus the thought that perhaps a shorter team of midfielders and 6 footers would be the way to go....

but if spoiling is the only reason to drop an improving raph then I worry, he is one of the few that can actually spoil. I would have raph ahead of gilbert but why do we all assume that BJ will be coming in as a out and out defender? He has played ruck rover for the scorps for a month now, and lyon has a thing for tall wingman (see blake, gilbert etc.).

Maybe Blake can go back into defence and BJ can move into the midfield. I'm not sure if they'll throw him in the deepend in his first game back, though. It's a massive step up from the seconds and everyone is saying the speed of the game this year is much greater than last year.
With Raph, it's not about his ability to spoil, but his inability/lack of awareness regarding when to mark, amongst other things.
