Swans tactics in context of the season
Gday Folks!
I reckon we need to move on pretty quickly from the controversy of "tunnelling" and get focussed for the big game this week.
In the context of our season, the Swans game should be seen as four points gained without any serious injuries.
Watching the taped highlights (or is it "lowlights"?) of the game I found the Swans to be a bunch of scraggers and spoilers; witness the assault on Grammy by Hall, the shirt pulling by O'Laughlin, and of course the incidents with Bolton.
All this nonsense about them being "hard, uncompromising etc" is so much crap as far as I'm concerned. They're a cynical bunch at the best of times and have run their race as far as I'm concerned.
Let's just be glad its out the way and we can get on with the job of winning come satdee!
GO SAINTERS!!!!!

I'm with you, I'm just hoping that the players have been more focused with this weeks games than the tunnelling from Saturday, but they're a professional lot I'm sure they are...

the swannies are this weeks most hated football side.
I wish them every misfortune they have wished on us, nothing more, nothing less.

well said Jigmeister!
Unfortunately, yet again, we have the Swines twice in one year.
Archie/Ross/Westy etc - please can you request next season that we play those pricks only once? Preferably in Shytney so I have a decent excuse not to turn up.....

I posted under this subject title because I believe that the Swans having been the premiers in 05 and Grand Finalists in 06 have nowhere to go but "south"! Hall, Everitt, Barry, Kirk and Jolly are not getting any younger or better. The style of play they have perfected is limited and while they can be relied upon to never give up and grind out wins; man for man their list is looking decidedly ready for the "opp shop" and I cannot see them challenging Geelong, Ourselves, even Hawthorn are way ahead of them in terms of talent.

The Swans are always my most hated side anywhere, anytime. They are the natural and traditional (and formerly local) enemy of the Sainters: even more than the Pies. Plus they play the most negative, unattractive brand of football going.
I hate them even more than the Cats....!!
