Dal is one of the panelist on the footy show tomorrow night, along with Nathan Brown and Shane Crawford.
This is on the Herald sun webiste, www.heraldsun.com.au
They are saying how Sam Newman will be back this week.

i think this has to be one of the best panels in a long while.

lots of st kilda talk with dal on (hopefully)

and sammy and crawf at it again.

lose jb and garry and youve got yourself a top show.

plus a little more from my mate on the bar trev

this is one of the best panels i love it!

hopefully they name goddard to play though i want to see that booming kick back in that side even if he plays up forward, for a bit in the game

How can people still be impressed by that rodent Crawford's pathetic brand of humour?!?!

When will there be a FTA footy show that discusses the teams, the matches and the issues rather than inflating each others egos...

Great that Dally is on, however i think he will be tallked over by the baffoon crawf!

I'm glad sammy is back on, billy just didnt really have it!!

I'd take Billy, Sam and Eddie as the main three in a heartbeat - and kick out Lyon and Brayshaw in an instant.

Billy and Sam are both quite similar - both can get a laugh but have a bit of grey matter when needed also.

i like lyon.
brawshaw im not fussed whether he is there or not.
sam has to be there.
billy should be given a segment somewhere in the show, i like the bloke.
seems very down to earth and is quick witted.

eddie used to piss me off.....sounded too politician like

Sorry by saying Billy didnt have it, i meant that he didn't have the nasty streak i guess where sammy will just prod someone to give an answer or have a crack at someone which is amusing. Nah, i really like Billy he is more entertaining than JB. Although i wouldn't get rid of Gary i don't mind him at times.

I reckon they got it right, by default when Eddie left and was replaced by Garry and JB.

Bit more of a light-hearted feel about it now.

I rate Crawford, Nathan Thompson, Billy, Cameron Ling and Jonathan Brown.

Nathan Brown is OK but gives me the irits with his smugness, Lloyd is downright boring.

Luke Hodge is just a country boy stuck in the headlights while Fevola's a moron and makes no contribution.

Trev can come out with one or two decent one-liners but is often superfluous. Every time they throw to him, I can feel myself cringe and think 'gee I hope this is funny otherwise it might be a bit awkward.'

EDIT: And for the record, I rate Sam. Yeah he can give you car-crash sort of material, but it is entertaining, if not always politically correct.

I'd love it if they started getting players on the show who can think on their feet and string a sentence of their together.

The guests are usually either the boring generic "yeah the team's going really well at the moment and hopefully we can bounce back with a good win on Saturday" types, or the irritating smartarses (although at least they are more entertaining than some). If they were willing to sacrifice the star factor then guys like Nick Gill (very funny, witty guy) and even our own Michael Rix would make the show far more entertaining. Scott Stevens is another smart bloke with a good sense of humour.

The chances are that Dal will say absolutely nothing mildly interesting, while Crawf and Nathan Brown will sit there sniggering and making cracks about Sam for two hours.

Is it just me or is the footy show painfully boring?

I thought Might switch it on last night purely cos Dal was on there, and he's generally pretty funny. Especially when he's been on BTG.

But last night was boring as poo.
Crawf hogged any airtime given to the panel.
Sam came back as irritable as ever. (although he was probably the funniest of the lot last night)
and Garry shamelessly plugging that book.

Well.. I guess i can always be alone on the fact that I probably find something more entertaining than the 2 hours of drivel that ch 9 shows every thursday.
