Cam Howat and Adam Hartlett facing suspension

RICHMOND'S Cam Howat and Blue Adam Hartlett both face a two-weeks ban following the match review panel's assessment of the weekend's matches.
Both players were involved in two off-the-ball incidents during Thursday night's season-opening match, one of which left Howat groggy and needing to be helped off the field.
After reviewing the incidents, the panel charged both players with level four striking offences, meaning they can take a two-week ban with an early plea.
If they challenge the charges at the tribunal, both players face getting a three-match ban if found guilty.
Freo’s Dean Solomon is also facing suspension after getting charged with rough conduct offence against Magpie Shane Wakelin during Saturday’s match. He faces one-week on the sidelines.
The panel also looked at other incidents:
* The match-day report against Port Adelaide's Daniel Motlop for charging Geelong's Joel Corey was assessed. The panel decided that Motlop made contact just after Corey completed a mark. Motlop did not leave the ground during the incident. He pulled up and did not run through Corey. It was the view of the panel that a 50 metre penalty was the appropriate action and no further action was required.
* Contact between Geelong's Matthew Stokes and Port Adelaide's Jacob Surjan from the first quarter of Thursday's game was reviewed. Stokes was committed to the contest and contact was unavoidable. Stokes tried to reduce the impact by rolling over Surjan. The incident was not considered reportable and no further action was taken.
* Contact between Port Adelaide's Daniel Motlop and Geelong's Shannon Byrnes from the second quarter of Thursday's game was reviewed. Motlop and Byrnes converged on the ball from opposite directions. Motlop turned his back on Byrnes in an attempt to shepherd and made incidental high contact. The incident was not considered reportable.
* Contact between the Brisbane Lions' Anthony Corrie and West Coast's Adam Selwood from the fourth quarter of Saturday's match was reviewed. Corrie's action was not considered to be a striking motion.

I think they have only reviewed some early games , but I would not be surprised if Hall gets off, the big sook he is, can't even pick on someone his own size.

Maybe someone should ask Burkie to explain the workings of the MRP in these cases.Stephen Theodore wrote:Hartlett has accepted the two week suspension offered.
Alos, how is it that they apparently never even looked at Bitch Hall's punch to Gram's stomach (in play 40 metres off the ball)?
Given that Burkie was a member of the MRP last year he would surely be able to explain their thinking?

Just be thankful they didn't give Bakes another 2 for the Howat/Hartlett incidents.Buckets wrote:Not worried about the Hall incident, couldnt be bothered wasting my time on that thug!
But for Hartlett to only get 2 weeks is disgraceful! Off the ball head high and the bloke is forced from the ground! Hell Bakes got how many for simply stopping in front of Farmer!
