Like most of you I was a wee bit disappointed that we fell away after a bright start to the game. (Sydney are awful to watch are they not?) I'm not ready JUST yet to make bold flag predictions or on the other hand, to dismiss our chances in 08 because of our lack of goals in one game.
Better to build for a long season with a first-up hard fought win (and a clean bill of health!) We've seen how the early dashers can be caught up around mid season (us in 2004 comes to mind!)
It was not pretty to watch but the lads got stuck in and ground the win out and I'm reasonably happy with our showing so far.
Hope to see you all this satdee at the 'dome!

Incidentally Optimism is the only way, the alternative is far too awful!

Its not too bad up there Jigster, plus it has the added benefit of earning Frequent Flyer Points.
Although the game itself was not the best it was good to be among those Sainters down on level one aisle 18/19 again! They feel like old friends (one of them owes me a beer! )
