ST Kilda skipper Nick Riewoldt lashed out at the scaremongers predicting he will return to captain the new Gold Coast side in 2011, saying his loyalty to the Saints was rock solid.

"So I am not too sure what else I have to do to prove to people my loyalty to St Kilda. No doubt these rumours will persist for the next three years, but I don't take too much notice of them."

Riewoldt told ABC Radio he had never seriously considered leaving, so great was his focus on winning St Kilda's second premiership.

"All my focus is on St Kilda and I won't rest until they win a premiership," he said.

"It's my home and I love playing there."

Great news.

Let's hope he continues being a great Saints champion and plays all his 300+ games with the same club.

Even if I wasn't a Saint I'd love watching this bloke play.

Yeazh well what happens after we win a flag then? Look he is a free man can do what he likes, and you also cant expect him to say he will stay for ever no matter what. But I wouldnt go taking that article as some definitive statement that he will play for the saints for the rest of his career.

AFAIC, I hope like hell he stays, flag or not. My gut says if we get a flag, better than even chanve he will go.
