Inflation hasn't been that bad that they should be $4 ... and I don't reckon the content justifies the price.
What about a "Record-Lite", with just the team sheets, info on the umpires and a space to fill in the goals/behinds etc.?
I would buy something like that for a dollar or two ...
Just because you may have a clue with the club does not give you anymore right on this site
My son and I buy them and mark them up every game we go to. With both teams goals/behinds and good to see the Record finally caught up with the time line of goals - we've been doing it for years.
We keep them all year, then when we don't win the flag we turf the lot - I just want to keep the winning year's books.

Just really shows how mature you are and question the age of a mod...
Yep. arrogance at it's finest IMO

14.1 Oh When the Saints is watchful with that line outside of off stump and sees it through to the keeper, good bowling there from plugger66 but he will have to get it a bit fuller if he's going to draw the edgeplugger66 wrote:Know I understand your moderating.Oh When the Saints wrote:Fair dinkum, I'm 18 and I can remember they were arond a dollar ... They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.
Used to cut out from HeraldSun ( & Sporting Globe prior) but over years have bought records. Will buy for all final series Saints are in but am going to make my own "Record" to keep score on - why? - force of habit over 58 years! Some said enjoyed the read but last year our membership included player info. booklet which just got repeated in record.
Will be packing lunch/tea & saving big bucks - am so over constant AFL rip-offs & getting treated like we (loyal supporters - from ALL clubs) count for nothing!

I created a thread about the Ansett Cup V Wizard Cup and you post..
The arrogance you display is amazing, just what gives you the right to post your possible banning in the forum in the first place?
Just what gives you the right to say I am negative in the thread I created about Ansett Cup V Wizard Cap
Just what gives you the right to say
I would love to call you an idiot or a wanker but that is against the new rules that you have breached again
You then come on an post about your possible banning as if you are some sort of primadonna and carry on that if you do get banned you might consider posting....plugger66 wrote:Teams can lose if they want by playing with a crap side but the benefits out weigh your negativity.

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

You, on the other hand have not...
Now just who should be banned??
I have for once, have refrained from name calling and you have repeated it ...
again if you are banned I hope you come back and come back with showing a bit less arrogance...

Why buy something for $4 when it is nevr worth reading and the teams are never correct?
Absolute waste of money.
Absolute waste of money.
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. My son and bride will be going to the game and they really don't know the player numbers...
It would be great if the saints web site can provide a team list from players from both sides with player numbers that fans can just simply print off from their PC

Yeah that would be nice. However the AFL wouldn't allow such things to happen when there is money to be fleeced.St Fidelius wrote: It would be great if the saints web site can provide a team list from players from both sides with player numbers that fans can just simply print off from their PC
I can see that if I took the kids and wife it may come in handy, but considering I talk to people at the breaks and basically know most of the opposition it is a waste of cash, especially with TD now charging $23 to park.
Lance or James??

Remember the good ol days when they listed the other teams by letters on the scoreboard...so that you had to buy a record to match the letters to the teams.
I think now its seen more as a "program" for theatregoers. Trust me, noone on the MW needs a Record to know the numbers, even if we do lapse into 80's speak now and again.
Robert Eddy became Paul Temay quite a few times during the NAB Cup...and that Geoff Fidler fella ..or was it Jarryd Allen?

Same here -- I can't watch the game without marking them in, both sides. I know it's completely unnecessary now. I resent the price, and the waste of glossy paper. Can't help it though.riccardo wrote:I only buy it to do the goal, behinds and total scores - for both teams, which I understand is not that common!
It at least gets you through the train ride on the way home.

I always fill out the scores for both teams.
And I use a different colored pen for each quarter
Black - Blue - Green - and the last qtr is always Red
How sick is that ?
PS they were much better value in the old 70s/80s small size.
And the first ones I collected were 5 cents !
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

Sometimes its for posterity sake. Other times its because thats what a record is for and because I enjoy doing it. But mostly, its because its a habit, I've been doing it at long as I can remember, and I feel................wrong somehow if I don't.Lenny_Hayes7 wrote:Not being a smartass but why do people write the goals and behinds in the book?

i know ive already posted on this but i think thats a good idea and i dont care about the price i will as well.
