St.Kilda Close to Finalising Captaincy (theage.com.au)
St Kilda will finalise their captaincy by Thursday's AFL season launch, with current skippers Nick Riewoldt and Lenny Hayes favourites for the role.
They shared the captaincy with Luke Ball last year, but Ball announced last month he would stand down from the role.
Justin Koschitzke, another member of the Saints' leadership group, led the side on Saturday in the NAB Cup grand final as part of a captaincy rotation during the pre-season.

who cares who is nominated as Captain?
I don't anymore, it's more about how well we play and how many games we win.
In any case, our LEADER for the past few years and no doubt this year is Reiwoldt, so the rest is irrelevant.
If we make the GF, simply make Harvs captain for the day, so his name is forever in the history books as our 2nd Premiership Captain.
Ok, got that off my chest, now let's screw that lid tightly back on again!

I don't care either, although I suspect it will be a dual effort by Roo & Lenny.
However, If it is going to be a 1 man show; Roo will probably get the job.
People remember premiership captains (eh Doc!!) so understandably it would be a sought after job.

I once spent a year in Adelaide, I think it was on a Sunday.
