No takers ?
It has been a week, so I'll jump in with a question....
Looking at our highest ever scores in each quarter against each club.
For one opposition club, our record scores in all 4 quarters were kicked during the reign of one StKilda coach.
Name that StKilda coach, and name the opposition club.

A good stab.saint66au wrote:without any research..Ill take a stab at Carlton and Grant Thomas
Yes those thrashings in 2003/4/5 !
For the record our highest quarter scores against Carlton are
Quarter 1, 57 points
9-3 57 v 2-2 14
:2003 R20 PP (Thomas)
Quarter 2, 73 points
12-1 73 v 2-1 13
:2004 R10 DK (Thomas)
Quarter 3, 55 points
8-7 55 v 2-0 12
:2005 R15 DK (Thomas)
Quarter 4, 51 points
8-3 51 v 5-3 33
:2005 R15 DK (Thomas)
(all part of our current 9 game winning streak against Carlton)
Interestingly we nearly achieved the same thing against Adelaide under Kenny Sheldon.
Except that it is not a unique record because our highest 4th quarter score was also matched by Stan Alves in 1996
Quarter 1, 45 points
7-3 45 v 0-1 1
:91 R7 M (Sheldon)
Quarter 2, 46 points
7-4 46 v 1-6 12
:91 R7 M (Sheldon)
Quarter 3, 44 points
7-2 44 v 3-4 22
:91 R22 FP (Sheldon)
Quarter 4, 48 points
7-6 48 v 1-1 7
:92 R7 M (Sheldon)
AND
7-6 48 v 3-1 19
:96 R22 P (Alves)
(That magical game from 1991 again)

Without ever posting on this thread, I might audaciously jump in and ask a question..
What do the following players have in common: Adam McPhee, Alex Ishchenko, Daniel Kerr, Garry Hocking, Gavin Wanganeen, Greg Williams and Jeff Farmer
Hope it hasn't been done already.. and there is a Saints reference here

McPhee = Riewoldt
Ishchenko = Vidovic
Kerr = Xavier Clarke
Hocking = Jodi Arnol or Ricky Nixon
Wanganeen = ....
Or the Todd Viney angle?
They have all been beaten by Boris Becker while he wore a Saints jumper.
Win it for HIM!

There has been talk of our recent Swans recruits and the players they have recruited from us in the past. My question is: who was the first big name VFL player to "cross the lagoon" as they called it, from Saints to Swans?
There is on in particular I have in mind.
