Just because there is no supporters group dosen't mean we don't exist.

FWIW, I will be moving (finally) to inner city in the next month so this will soon become a non-issue, but with the fact our supporters are all over the place now I think expecting people to travel such a distance is pushing it.
There are options that could be used that would allow everyone to come and be included without having to take an entire day (not just a few hours) to do it.

Maybe we should have it at federation square. Most saints supportors are in the SE so it logical to have it in the SE. You cannot cater for everyone. Frankston is on the same train line as Moorabbin so I fail to see the problem.

You can't see the problem? I've only said what it is about 8 times.

I know you can't please everyone, but you could easily attempt to by being more flexible with the venue.

That being said I doubt I would go even if I was close to it, those days are always hot, crammed full of people (don't do particularly well in crowds) and I end up spending all my monery on stuff I don't need.

But still...........................

And I'm sure im not the only one but majority of the West and North of Melbourne is blocked by the CBD which basically adds an hour on the trip to a place like Frankston.

Our current base was already a problem....but not a problem that warranted complaining about for I do barrack for St Kilda.....

Conclusion....I will probably still be going.
Spinner, I'm further out than you (in Sunbury) and agree with what you say.

I can remember in Year 12 back in 1991 making the trip religiously every Thursday night to training (and constantly harrassing a young fella by the name of Robert Harvey for his autograph every week!). I would leave Sunbury at 3.50 and get to Moorabbin just after 5.30.

It is a pain for Western and Northern suburbs supporters to do it, but hey we have no choice at all in the matter. We travel because we love the Club.

But it SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT MOORABBIN !!!!!

That is still our home for the next 2 years.

it was like Ross eastern
laid back and relaxed- seemed to be heaps of people there but lots of space,
players who didn't play in Adelaide alternated between two signature tents ( along with the clown who held down a third tent) and football clinics- two tents of four and then four different skills areas
although in a couple of skill areas the Saints and auskick staff and volounteers did the clinic whilst kids got autographs :)

jumper presentation was set for when the Team fro Adelaide arrived- and after they had had something to eat and drink about 1.15 and despite traffic hold ups it wasn't much after that
several were suffering- headaches the coach said- not particularly chatty but all bar gards were there- Kids from Rooey's recruits had been chosen to give the jumpers.

after this the players who had been there for the morning took off and the team took over about 4 of the tents for signatures etc.- I note someone said in another thread they didn't stay particularly long)

Dee dee did a good job, band was good, I thought enough to keep kids busy, new merchandise looked good,

just one request: I understand parents wanting to see their kids present a jumper BUT if your going to be at the front PLEASE sit down after you have taken your photo :( others would have liked to see too :()
it has a reactive affect- you kneel up, next row kneels up and then after that people stand and eventually no one sees.

in other thread someone expressed disappointment But what more can they offer?

Ross did thank everyone for hanging around and said they didn't really expect to be in the final- he has been persistent with his membership message this weekend.

ps; I heard they are trying to make sure about 2,000 memberships are mailed/processed each day.

so you say the players were suffering with headaches??

Due to a bit too much grog last night (which is fine IMO), or due to heat stress?

Normally most players the day after a game shouldn't be too bad if they've had a recovery session.

Perhaps there wasn't a recovery session due to the heat - just plenty of rehydration and rest instead????
