Neil Craig - shattered
was surprising to see how angry he was just after the siren, obviously it meant a fair bit to him....

looked like the only adelaide person who actually gave a s**t.
good on him though
Re: Neil Craig - shattered
good luck to the turd......gawd i hate adelaide......but not as much as i hate their ugly supporters...will never forgive or forget them for their sheer arrogance and bad behaviour when they won the grannie in 1997......The_Dud wrote:was surprising to see how angry he was just after the siren, obviously it meant a fair bit to him....
...and the afl should never allow another pre-season cup grand final to be held outside victoria.......the saints receiving their cup and medals before an empty stadium was as predictable as it was rude......

Ditto.
Disgraceful, and STFU all the do-gooders and interstate supporters who plead for it interstate.
Victoria IS the home of football and it should always be here.
If you want it so badly interstate then support it, cos we certainly will in Vic.
What did they play it up to be tonight? Didn't see the crowd number but was sh!t as always over there.
I can't stand them.

Any victory over Adelaide is a good one... felt that way ever since 1997.
Can't say the fans have upset me - just the 1997 result.
And it will continue to haunt us all until we win a flag and erase that memory.
C'mon Saints - this year - do it boys!!!!

I think that the footage clearly showed that he and Adelaide were trying to win.The_Dud wrote:was surprising to see how angry he was just after the siren, obviously it meant a fair bit to him....

Re: Neil Craig - shattered
I agree totally. I didn't like them beforehand, but their behaviour after they won the GF was deplorable. My local footy team goes over there sometimes for the end-of-season trip, but I refuse to go and spend a cent in the place. I even conducted my club's trivia night last year and in front of about 150 people, highlighted all the pin-heads in the room and made them look stupid. Jeez it felt good.stinger wrote:good luck to the turd......gawd i hate adelaide......but not as much as i hate their ugly supporters...will never forgive or forget them for their sheer arrogance and bad behaviour when they won the grannie in 1997......The_Dud wrote:was surprising to see how angry he was just after the siren, obviously it meant a fair bit to him....

No there wasnt WE interstateb and a few victorian saints supporters were there in voicehilairehinshelwood wrote:More people in the presentation ceremony than in the crowd to see it.
I do agree though that it would have been better to have the game at TD just to nullify the awful bloody ALELAIDE crowcall and I mean ALELAIDE cos thats what it sounds like.
I have now seen our club win Pre-season cup live 3 times ))))

I used to hate Adelaide but went to a game in 2001 at the dome saints vs adelaide and we were thrashed but I sat next to two adelaide supporters, who felt sorry for the state of the saints back then and they brough $50 worth of raffle tickets because they didn't want to see any club go under. I have had a small soft spot for them since.

To have only 26,000 there was disgusting, they said it was the lowest crowd for a Night/PS GF since 1987!
To see Craig pound the desk in anger then stand stony faced as we collected our Cup was very satisfying. Though I feel I got my revenge for 1997 when I was in the crowd in the 2005 Qual at Football Park, I still love to beat them.
Two wins against them in a row under a goal - one at home, one away, is nice.

I honestly loved that Neil Craig and the Crows scared so much about the game, even though through the week he was saying they didnt care it was obvious they did. Makes up for 97 in a small way.

crows shouldve taken the 500 thou they were offered to play the game interstate.....
and whoever said there was more people on the ground for the presentation then there was in the seats is pretty much correct........Adelaide fans are like that,......sooks.
i got to high five Dal and Milney, so i was happy.

I think the crowd was really low for two reasons:
(1) The heat - way too hot to watch footy outdoors!
(2) Adelaide members had to pay $31 to go to the game - fairly pricey for a praccy match - perhaps $20 would've got a few more through.
Also, not many neutrals would go, whilst a preseason final in Melbourne has quite a few neutrals.
A question: Do AFL members get into the final for free? If so, that would swell the numbers at the Dome.

Adelaide supporters would whinge if the ticket price was $10. Pre buying tickets to anything is virtually non-existant.saintspremiers wrote:I think the crowd was really low for two reasons:

Sat in the members last night and was virtually empty for the presentations. Poor form. Good to hear the Cheer Squad making plenty of noise.
