I understand the away guensey will be the home one with white shorts. The clash guensey will be that white piece of garbage we had last year. Few topics already on this going around, but that seems to be the go.

I think under FF that the team will wear the tr-colour whenever they can....and only wear the clash strip when forced to do so.

What is the deal with the red gernsey with the black and white stripe down the middle, is that a training gernsey? And can we buy them? They are really nice.

yes, they are training jumpers and they are for sale.
the training singlets are $60, so you would think the training jumpers would be $60, but i think the club will be selling them for $100 because they are the same as the home jumper.

THey are not on the Saints website. The only training singlets/gernseys they have are the white ones with the stripes at the side.

To be honest, unless someone comes up with an official club release or I see the boys run out in last years clash, I point blank refuse to believe we are contracted to wear a gueernsey after the manufacturer (Skins via the AFL) no longer even sponsors us.

It is just not logical, and those who assert this need to back it up with evidence.

I can and will...

Have tried to beat this point into the people on this site. Have spoken to a member of the club staff who said the jumper will be in use for a second season, as the contract was signed to do so.

As for being with a different manufacturer, means nothing. We wore the candy cane jumper with different ones (Sekem and Piping Hot).

Different ways to spell guernsey according to this thread include:

Geunsey / geurnsey / gernsey / gueernsey

Posts in which it is actually spelt correctly - nil.

Definitely getting an intra-club gernsie, just haven't decided which one yet. I'm quite partial to the black, myself.

I am glad there is actual evidance of the apron being our clash for a second year. Id much rather wear the red training jumper than that piece of crap.

As for the contract and manafacturer issue, actually in some cases it DOES matter, in the case of the Melbourne Storm they couldnt wear the Nike design worn in the first season and were forced to change when Fila took over due to the design being owned and created by Nike and had to change again when Reebok took over for the same reason.

The reason we were able to wear the "Candy Stripes" after changing designer because Seekem was still making the jumpers because Piping Hot didnt make football jumpers. Neither did Skins by the way, Seekem made our stuff last year too.
