Pre season Grand Final - WILL BE shown at Moorabbin

Post: # 525875Post Enrico_Misso »

mod edit: See post from The Peanut on page 2:
http://www.saintsational.com/forum/view ... 791#526791

The game WILL be shown at Moorabbin

In the good old days we always had interstate games on the big screen(s) at Moorabbin.

This seems to have fallen away with the rise of Foxtel and the decay of Moorabbin.

But next Saturday is a GF.
Surely the new Board can organise something.
Some big screens.
An operating bar.
Some food.
Big crowd.
Big revenue.
Chance for fans to congregate in one place.
Generate some real team spirit.

Come on Westaway.
Organise something !!!!!!
NOW

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

I'd go...

Many many great memories in the Barker room...

Yep, I'd prob go to the Social Club also.

It's our biggest practice match since 2004!

Perleese don't buy the AFL agenda and call it a "Grand Final".

Sure, it's a Final, but there aint anything "Grand" about it compared to the real thing!

Was thinking this today actually E.M.

One of the big beefs was the lack of interstate matches not shown down there last year (ala the West Coast game.)

"Footy first" I hope also includes "Supporters right behind".

They don't have to do much for the evening - just open it up, serve some pies and snags and have a tap on or serve frothies in cans and soft drinks.

Wouldn't cost them THAT much.

Maybe the TB Room no longer satisfies Building Regulations for public assembly.

Piss poor management.

And a huge opportunity lost.
They could have had 2000 people there if they had got their act together and generated a shyte load of revenue.

Time for a new Board ?
