Funny you should say that, I was sitting with a mate (saints fan) this evening watching the game and she said, maybe this is going to be like 2004 but one better.

I thought hey wouldn't that be something because that would mean we would beat Geelong in Rnd 4.... must say it made me smile!

And we all remember what happened next....

Also, that year we defeated Geelong, Essendon, Richmond and Adelaide in the Wizard Cup. IF we win tonight we could end up playing exactly the same four teams this year.

Maybe it's destiny for us to win it this year

we've gotta take the step this year.

we shoulda beat port in the 04 prelim and we should beat sydney in the 05 prelim.

says something about us we lost to the eventual premiers both times.

We will have a more robust game style this year, we will be better prepared and we have a better balanced list (e.g. genuine ruckman who can control a midfield).

At times we will excite, at others we will win ugly, but we will progress. We will be harder to beat, we will look after our good players better and we won't go into big games with severely underdone players. We'll use the ball better under pressure, we'll work more when the other mob's got it and we will kick goals efficiently.

We are going to be very, very hard to beat.

Spot on B4E. Chill out everybody.

Yes there are some good signs. But lets face it we have one a couple of glorified practice matches by a kick or two. Lets just see how the real stuff goes. Lets not get ahead of ourselves.

8-)

Actually, I'm getting in early and have started celebrating already

and this has got absolutely nothing to do with the pre season nonsense, started celebrating before the NAB started

&

we didn't even make the Grand Final in 2004 and finished third, so how that in any way compares to 2008 the year when we actually win the Grand Final in September, is mystifying to say the least

for that reason alone this is just a crapo thread

Yes Armoo -

a GF win and Harvey with Norm Smith...

I dream it constantly

And then he plays one more year so I can give him a standing ovation every game

(I really don't want to see him go)....
