Idiots absolute idiots hopefully Roo does play and teaches a few bombers supporters how a class forward really plays.

Some very stupid comments made in that thread

Essendon even without Sheedy and even with a crap list are a team to be despised.
Time for some scoreboard payback.

"I hope we stick to our game plan and really take it up to them, regardless of who is playing.

Watching the Geelong v St Kilda game I thought the skills looked fairly ordinary from both teams.... "

From that forum and I don't know if I'm allowed to post it on here but yeah I do hope you stick to your game plan and see how a real team plays MF's as you get tackled, shut down and your heads driven into the ground.

Speed ain't everything when your lying in the dirt cause then your legs don't work!

"Rocca has a better record than Reiwoldt, but if anyone calls him elite I will vommit. Damn good players, proven matchwinners, but do not do it enough to be classified as elite, like a Pavlich, Lloyd, (when fit) Richo, (even though he sprays a few far & wide) Hall, Fev, Braddy Johnson, etc."

I can't wait too vomit on you in the real season you pathetic idiot who rates Richo higher are you insane. I hope we win and this will stop these delusions that the Bummers will be in contention and once again finishing in the bottom of the ladder.

PS. Lloyd is overrated, oh bugger I just vomited on him. Where do those carrots come from.

I love it how they can realistically rate both Lloyd and Lucus within the Top 5 Forwards in the AFL....

Not 1...But 2....Makes you just want to laugh. Where have they finished the last couple of years?

Which points to a Theory I developed nearly 2 years ago.

"A player will possess a far better profile based on playing ability than warranted, for the shear fact they play for Collingwood or Essendon."

Meaning - Essendon and Collingwood players are automatically overrated by the general public due to the amount of hype associated with their clubs.

Lucas certainly is a top 5 forward. And if Lloyd can remain injury free he'd be a chance as well. Their goal-to-goal line is as good as anyone's IMO.

You can't be serious. He's good but not top 5. Is he better than....?

J Brown
Tredrea
Franklin
B Hall
Roo
G-train
Pavlich
Lloyd
Brad Johnson
Neitz
Fevola
Richo

No. He's in the next group down which includes the likes of.....

Mooney, Lynch, Nathan Thompson, Mark Williams, Rocca, Kosi, Bradshaw

Not to mention small forwards like N Brown, Farmer, Milne......

Lucas - top 30.

I stopped reading when one poster said "Ball and Hayes are average" Obviously these people know nothing about football if they think that Lenny Hayes and Luke Ball are average players.

And Jobe Watson and Houli will make us look ordinary? Im sure that will happen.......then I will need to sprinkle rock salt over the places where hell just froze over

Or Brodie Holland syndrome as I call it. Seriously, can you think of anyone else whose public profile is that far out of proportion to his playing performance?

Talking of forwards, it was interesting to see that G Train has kicked more goals than anyone else in the AFL since 2003 (at least according to the telecast of the St K Geel game on Saturday).

As for the stuff on Roo, who cares what they think...!

Not my fault they all bred with each others families and created some kind of super-moron family!

reiwoldt as a CHF has a 2 goal average and a pretty high goal assist average too.

(last year was a poor year by his standards but the whole team played further up the ground, FG included)

thats competitive and comparative with many other CHFs in the 'elite' category, and thats REAL CHFs not named at CHF but really FFs (kernahan, carey etc).

ball is comparable in form and skill with nathan burke, i think to have achieved that sort of comparison is remarkable given the quality of burke (a lot of people forget how good burke was from 95/96 to the early noughties).

hayes is a sublime player who mixes aggression at the ball and man (note his tackle count and hard ball gets) with superb intelligent run and forward straight line passing. sort of like winmar, minus the ability to do the freakish and with far more discipline.

Essendon's problems over the past few years haven't been with their forwards, it's their midfield which has been total s***. And it still is.

and the end of the day - who cares about who is better than who.

Its a team game.. we've had some of the biggest individual names in the game over the past 40 odd years and only 1 true piece of silverware.

Give me a bunch of no-names and a full trophy case anyday.
