Kosi :) his time- article

Kosi's time is nowAuthor: Luke Holmesby
12:44 PM Mon 25 February, 2008

TWO of the most frustrating phrases in football are ‘potential’ and ‘injury-ridden’. Mention either of those phrases in a word association game with a St Kilda fan and you are likely to get the name Justin Koschitzke.

Koschitzke’s woes have been well-documented. From running into umpires to fighting off a chronic back injury while still a teenager, Koschitzke has been through it all.

Now in his eighth season at AFL level, Koschitzke has managed just 95 games, 39 less than teammate Nick Riewoldt who was drafted only seconds before him in 2000.

But it hasn’t all been frustration and undelivered promise from the 25-year-old – he has shown he can deliver on plenty of occasions.

Have high hopes for Kosi this year but let's not use NAB Cup to get excited. He was on a first year Rookie!

‘injury-ridden’.quote]

I don't want to be a pryck here or anything, but the phrase is "injury riddled".

I've never heard of injury ridden before. :?

"Injury riddled" is certainly the more commonly used term.

Lol, how about that, I was sure it was injury ridden, but if you two are confident enough to adress the point, I'm going to go ahead and take your word for it
Injury riddled, it just sounds weird though, I think I will stick with being incorrect

Kosi can be anything.

Remember those 4 absolute blinders he played in a row in 2005 before he got injured ?

No-one else at our club, including Riewoldt, can match that sort of form.
I get the feeling he is working his way back to that level.

Wheres Rodgerfox and the "Kosi's a ruckman brigade as hes to slow to be a fwd"???

Gotta laugh...I laughed at the imbecile previous coach who told us all ad nauseum that he was "one of the top 3 rucks in the comp" -RUBBISH. The guy is a fwd and the poor bugger obviously had several years under the previous man manager Dalai Lama who was convincing him he was an orange and not an apple....

Great to see him injury free - I truly was looking forward to seeing him take sides apart in attack this year and was a little nervous when G wanted back in...(I think it can work...it has to be structured and specific role based for mine) and have said many times - Kosi is Browne like and NO ONE on our list has that same ability to dominate in such a forceful manner.

Oh and hes just an awesome bloke - typical country lad NO EGO.

The thing about Kosi is that he's just dominant. Roo is a very skilled player, but Kosi just dominates games when he's on. Looking forward to these two having a great year.

Couldn't agree more. I don't think anyone at the club can produce that level of form over a 4-week period.
