I think the bumper stickers look pretty good to. Happy to have one on my car - anyone got a spare one cos I'll be changing my car over soon!!
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

to me that seems to be common sense...stinger wrote:Enrico_Misso wrote:Finally got mine today.
Will watch it tonight.
BUT
I have a family membership.
So they sent
4 envelopes
4 stamps
4 covering letters
4 DVDs
Surely it is not too hard to work out that 4 members in a family membership with the same mailing address do not require 4 of everything (apart from membership cards, stickers, pins and fixtures).
Surely one bigger envelope would have been cheaper ?
At least I have 3 backup DVDs !
got mine today too.....and the missus's...all in the one envelope though
never understood why our family needs to be sent a) 3 different envelopes, and b) at 3 completely different times...
seems a sensible way to save money would be to send all the packages within one family in the same delivery.

Good call Viking and Doggerel - the Baldock footage is to be celebrated. The man was about 5' 8" and dominated CHF. He could RJFFPABRAB (Run, jump, f***, fight push a barrow ride a bike).
AA captain, AA v-c, a dead set freak. Extraordinary man. The Barack Obama of the 60's. Brought so many together. People just loved him. Honest, forthright, decent, and by f*** could he drink. Lovely family (struck by tragedy). Just a great, great sportsman.
And in his stroke riddled dotage, he has the great sense and appreciation to say he still loves watching St.Kilda play, and mostly because of the joy he gets from watching Rob Harvey (he actually said a couple of years ago that he thought Rob was the finest footballer this club had had - and he speaks from a position of strength). The 2 greatest St.Kilda footballers. Skilled, devoted, decent men. What a pair on which to base a legacy. Proud to just follow 'em.

Yeah good DVD, I get the feeling that this will be a yearly thing because they left out quite a bit of footage that you thought would have been in there, very very very little on Harvey....
Just in case you didn't notice there are a couple of wallpapers on the dvd, including a Gram one for you Ric
They look pretty good IMO...
As for Baldock, he really was a freak wasn't he, he would be lost in todays games though, he would have to learn how to drop punt and he would constantly get pinged for dropping the ball in a tackle....
I'm always amazed when I think about how many truly great players our club has had considering the very little team success we've had...
Harvey
Stewert
Baldock
Winmar
Lockett
Barker
Jesalenko
Burke
etc. etc.

Watching the Doc twisting and turning in the mud but never losing his feet was just magical.
But I was disappointed there wasn't more highlights of 2007.
Where was Fraser kicking the chair ?
I was hoping for a week by week highlights package.
But I guess that is too much to hope for free.
Though when you think about it, there would be demand from paying fans for the production of a quality season highlights package.
Then to give it away for free to early-bird subscribers would be a huge marketing incentive.
Could have us reaching 20,000 by Xmas.

I think it was more because of Bartlett.Oh When the Saints wrote:They actually changed the rule about dropping the ball in a tackle mostly because of Baldock.
That was his favourite trick and milked him hundreds of frees.

yeh kind of wrong to have him in an elite group of st kilda players like that. thats kind of like having winmar in a group of great bulldogs players when he was great for us.

Yes, we've enjoyed the DVD. Great to relive some of the Brisbane game which would rate as one of my all time most exciting. Wondered if Harves didn't feature as heavily as his highlights probably had lots of exposure recently with his testimonial etc.
I picked up my scarf from the club last week and it's not too shabby at all.
