Drain on SEN

Post: # 523113Post chook23 »

Gehrig injured - will be further tests Monday to determine how bad.

On Kossie - tightness? when questioned will he play next week
said was due to be rested under Nab series policy anyway

On Max - tightness ? when questioned will he play next week
said was due to be rested under Nab series policy anyway

some others will be rotated as well

King, Gardner, maybe Riewoldt.....mentioned Hayes/Harvey Ball will come under consideration.

Very guarded.

Will be sticking to allocated game time wanted over entire Nab series....
trying to have as many as possible getting a run....

Was not very convincing when discussing Max............not so sure with Kossie.

But from what said

Out at least from yesterday- Gehrig, Kossie and Max

Thanks for that chook23.

Sounds like Maxie might not be as bad as first thought, and with four weeks until Round 1, he should hopefully be right by then.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Very happy if this is all done in house, if those of us who follow the boys closely can't work it out then it means they are keeping their cards close to their chest.

not suprised that kosi and max were both going to be rested in the coming week, seems the lot of most coaches, they set out a certain rotation of players to get enough match fitness into them without pushing the risk of injury.

He also said there would be a lot returning this week including Hayes, Schneider and perhaps Ball. Presuming King and Gardi would be back also.

Was probably an element of spin to it....

However Drain made it clear that the pre-season including NAB Cup or Challenge (and the intra club) was a six week rotation where the intention was to get game time into the whole list.

Even without whatever injury/niggle Kosi now has Drain said he would have been rested next week as part of the rotation.

If the Saints make the NAB GF it was not committed to or not if the rotation policy would be stuck to (ie whether we play our best available team....or just continue with the rotations).

If, by luck and/or skill we end up in the NAB cup grand final, we should treat it equivalent to a H&A round, as far as who plays.

The membership boost it will provide, the increased media exposure, and the prize money are all huge boons for the footy club.

If it means we have a little less chance of winning against Sydney, i'll take it.

Has done hardly any contact work. Is not ready and wont be for the opening of the season by the looks of it.

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)
