hey guys settle....
all we have heard is that it was 98% right but they would only play players if they are 100%, he said two weeks. So if we don't hear anything late next week start worrying.....
in the meantime lets just sit here and worry about losing him to the GC in 3 years time

they also said he would definetly play in the first NAB cup game last year, and we didn't see him til round 3 in the proper season, so my faith in what we hear from the club isn't too high....Solar wrote:hey guys settle....

Riewoldt worry not so drastic
Michael Gleeson | February 21, 2008
WHILE football's rumours mill dictates that Nick Riewoldt is either undergoing knee reconstruction or missing the first eight weeks of the season, St Kilda insists the case is nothing so drastic.
The club says Riewoldt has tendonitis of the knee and nothing more. It says that while he will not play this week, he should play the weekend after.
There is some suggestion that he has a minor strain of his anterior cruciate ligament but this is significantly different to a tear of the ligament and can be managed.
He is able to train fully and pain only appears when he attempts long kicks. The pain is not expected to unduly affect his season.
A different scare went through Moorabbin on Friday night when youngster Raphael Clarke collapsed after the win over Richmond.
He was taken to Epworth Hospital for precautionary scans which cleared him of serious damage and while he will not play this week he has been cleared to play afterwards.
It seemed that Clarke, who has been plagued by injury in his short career, suffered dehydration in the heat before suffering a knock to his ribs.
His manager Ricky Nixon said the combined effects of the dehydration and the knock were felt to have caused the collapse.
"I have spoken to him and it does not seem to be something that is an ongoing concern. The doctors felt it was just a bit of dehydration," Nixon said.

Win it for HIM!
I'm hearing similar rumours from people NOT connected to the club.
IMHO its a bunch of people hoping that reiwoldt is injured.
reiwoldt isn't an asswhipe, is a genuinely decent person on the field and gives freely and generously of his time.
petty jealousy I think.

Well it was all cleared up this morning in the Hearld Sun article. So, he is right to play probably next week - so breathe out everyone!!HarveysDeciple wrote:mate of mine was listening to 3mp yesterday and they had a news report saying Roo was out for 8 weeks and would return in about round 5 or 6...
Jumped on here for clarification but nothing lol. surprising that such a report slipped under the radar, and it seems questionable anyway.
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

maybe the smoke was just a troll having a cig out the back.....
nah but serously, the amount of scuttlebutt is becoming silly.
Last night they had the seven headlines on SEN (about 4pm?) and one was that fevola had gone to hospital with a serious injuy. SEN did a ring around, found out from ceo swan that yes he spat out a little blood on saturday so they took him for a check up that night, cleared of any injury and that was that. almost a week later sever bring this up and beats it up LOL......
the media need a good kick up the arse some days!
