Interesting Thought!!!, If we get to week 2 of the nab cup ?
Hey all.....
*yeah I am back, thought i would give this place a break over the off season*
I start thinking today, *yeah I know it must of hurt*
IF we win tomorrow night and presuming Geelong beat Melbourne this weekend, we will have to play Geelong week 2.
Geelong have already come out this week and said they are out to win the Nab Cup. Which I thought was strange after winning the premiership, you wouldn't think they would care all that much about the pre season comp.
Anyway if it turns out to be a Geelong Saints game week 2, I have a few questions to put to you all
1. Would you want us to go all out to try to beat them, knowing they have said they want to win the comp?
2. Would it set us back a little losing to the premiers, even that it is only a nab cup game?
3. Would beating them week 2 in a pre season comp actually mean something?
I know most people don't care about the nab cup, but seeing we may have to play Geelong next week and seeing how much most of us hate Geelong and still cringe the fact they won the flag.
I am just interested to see what peoples opinions are on this ??

I'd love to have a shot at the cats next week in the nab there's a great rivalry between the 2 young lists shame the pricks got ahead of us last year but as we all no a round 4 win against the cats is much more important then any old nab cup game

I say take it the same as this week, don't risk anyone but play all the fit blokes, the players out there should give it near 100% and if they win they win, if they don't they don't...

If we beat the tigers we could win the nab cup.....not sure we want to but with the players coming back....if we get past the tigers tonight.....it is on the cards....Bernard Shakey wrote:I want to win every time we take the field and I'm sure the players do too.
We have it over the Cats in the NAB, Ansett, Escort Cup anyway.
The only thing that really matters is winning on the last Saturday in September 2008.
Our best is yet
to come......
to come......
