It's only the NAB Cup mate but if it was Round 1 in the Home & Season I would definitely start X on the ground before the other two.borderbarry wrote:You would start Birss and Jones on the field before X.Clarke??? Do you have a reason for this, or do you rate Birss and Jones before Xavier?
Squads for Friday night!!

Polak while playing as a key/running defender last season i believe has been trained up for a forwardline position. fairly sure i heard in a report for the tigers intraclub he played forward.saint66au wrote:Polak and Newman would play in defence I would think and Schultz forward.
If I were Richmond Id be giving COR (Cuz of Roo) a key forward berth for this game. Like Armo..hes had a season. time to see what he can do. Run Richo off the bench..hes the LAST bloke they want to get hurt
Newman has acctually moved into the middle out of defence for a while now...he is one of the leaders of the club now - expect to start on the wing or onball
Schultz is preferable up forward but with my setup (polak up forward) i had to play him in defence
he isnt too shabby back there though riewoldt/gehrig/koschitzke would kill him i would think
dempster on deledio? not sure our D has the pace to keep up with brettB: Baker Dempster Hudghton
F: Brown Deledio J.Riewoldt
HB: Geary S. Fisher R. Clarke
HF: Tambling Richardson Pettifer
C: Fiora Dal Santo Jones
C: Newman Johnson Tivendale
HF: C. Gardiner N. Riewoldt Harvey
HB: Morton Polak McMahon
F: Gehrig Koschitzke Milne
B: Bowden Silvester J.King
Foll: S.King Montagna Birss
Foll: Pattison Tuck Foley
I/C: M.Gardiner Rix Blake Eddy Gwilt Howard X.Clarke Armitage
I/C: Cartledge Raines Edwards Schulz Jackson Moore Casserly Oakley-Nicholls
hudghton has done well on richo in the past...also jriewoldt would be a better suited opponent for sam fisher
otherwise good matchups

Still go to the game but the year looks like a b*tch.
Maybe we should just wait to round 1 to see where the injuries are at before we hit the panic button

Thats true but all players need match practice so they need to play at least 2 games before the start of the season.LENNY LEADS THE WAY wrote:sasaint wrote: Just a sh*ty way to start the season with half the team injured. The Saints have the worst injury luck of any team in any comp in history.

They don't need it but it sure would help, we're still going better than last season with a better list and we only just missed out on the finals so things should still go ok this year, i would be surprised if we got injuries anywhere near as bad as last year, what would happen if we only had 21 players availableplugger66 wrote:Thats true but all players need match practice so they need to play at least 2 games before the start of the season.LENNY LEADS THE WAY wrote:sasaint wrote: Just a sh*ty way to start the season with half the team injured.
