Then you had to pay for the finals.

Then they made members pay but gave a 30% or 50% discount till the finals.

Now the blood sucking parasites make you pay full price to see
- a crap game between
- underdone teams
- experimenting with new players
- experimenting with players in new positions
- experimenting with new tactics
- key players rested
- playing under bullsh1t mickey mouse rules that don't apply to the real stuff
I don't know about others, but the reason I attend NAB cup is to see the experimenting with new players, new positions, tactics etc.

That's what I'm paying for, and they'd need to have rocks in their head not to charge me for my attendance.
- Supergoals
- Last one who touched it is freekicked (or has that rule gone?).
- Defenders can't rush when under pressure.
- Bouncing off the post = play on
- 6 or 10 or something on the interchange
- shorter quarters if the teams agree
Other than teh new interchange stuff (which I think is ridiculously naive, the effect it will have is to marginalise specialists and KPP in favour of endurance athletes rather than the intended effect of... i really don't know...) I like most of the NAB cup rules. Supergoals are a large change to the spirit and scoring of AFL, so I suppose I'd be against bringing them into the season, but it adds some interest during games that as you point out above, can use some spice.

What crap !!!!!
Superwank

We should boycott these games as a matter of principle till they are free.

Would much sooner watch the intra game this Friday.
Or attend training.
And save my hard earned for the real thing (unless we make the final :D ).
I'm looking forward to it, and think it easily worth th $18.90 or $15 or whatever in admission for the couple of hours of entertainment I'm going to get. (interesting difference... I'd never think of attending training, and found the intrasquad game a bit of a snooze, so thought the price was right)

If you don't see the value, by all means, watch on TV and don't spend money on it until the games mean something to you. NAB cup is successful enough that it's never going to be free again.

My advice - DON'T buy in advance and get slugged the ticketmaster ticketing fee.
Why in God's name would anyone want to book a NAB Cup game in advance? It's bewildering.

Not like it would be a lock-out. Any game that Richmond plays it would have to be a lock in surely!

FWIW, I'd rather chew my arm off than get locked in the Dome with Richmond nutters

I've pre booked. It makes my life easier to order the tickets over the 'net, print them myself and just roll into the ground at my leisure. I can spare the extra 3 bucks ... it's less than a beer. For 22 dollars myself and my young bloke can watch the mighty Sainters live and in comfort in the best viewing ground in the country for a couple of hours.

It's the best value entertainment in the country.
