Roo's Famous Speech

Post: # 518005Post ttufc7 »

Even though i am normally pretty up to date with any thing to do with the saints. The content of Roo's speech at the B&F has totally passed me by.

Does anyone know of any footage of it or perhaps a transcript i can find so i can see what Rooey had to say that has so many people referencing it in their posts.

Even though knowing may make me even more exited about this year and in turn make the wait till the footy starts even harder (Yes I am aware its only 2 days) I'd still love to know

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

If we win the flag this year, that speech will go down in St. Kilda history. If not, it will be left to the obscurity of history.

Real maturity in that speech - quite a surprise to me really.

It is always disappointing in a team sport to try your guts out every match and then come away with nothing at the end of the season because of a few "passenger" team-mates...let's hope everyone pulls in the same direction as Nick in 2008.

Too right, a lot has been said about Roo's attitude to the media but his attitude to the game and for his team can simply not be questioned, the guy is a superstar of the game and by the end of his career he will go down as a club great...

[quote="saints.com.au"]Riewoldt was determined to make a point to teammates and everyone else at the club.
