It's a shame the media haven't dug this up again and put the heat on the blatantly corrupt AFL.
Dimwit and his monkeyboy have had way too long a holiday season and should be put through the ringer again about the Baker incident.
In case they forgot, under the previous administration, the whole fiasco nearly ended up in court.
I guess Dimwit and his chimp are off the hook now as it's a new admin team who can't really be expected to fix the issue now and we have to cop it on the rectum where it really hurts.
PS Why dont you go and ask bakes if he really hit farmer.
There was no footage of the contact...the witness said he didn't see the contact and Baker admitted to nothing more than stopping and propping before contact....
The penalty of 7 weeks was also grosely out of proportion to the offence....which was as severe as if he had king hit him on camera..
I don't even care if he did give the woman beater a good one behind play on the evidence he should have been cleard...
He wes found guilty on supasition and speculation alone...
You can accept this rubbish if you want to but the rest of us know that
it was another example of one rule for the interstaters and one for the black sheep child St.Kilda...The Barry Hall and Goodes exonerations prove this as fact beyond doubt.
Firstly he got 4 weeks not 7. The extra was due to his bad record. And if we want to bring up interstaters what about Pickett getting 6 weeks for charging and the everyone else getting only one or two for the same charge. Also freo had the worst foung guilty record last year and Farmer has certainly not been looked after so we can always bring up issues to prove whatever way you feel. Like others are saying maybe if we ran a better defence he may have had more luck.
Can you also give any logical reason why we would be the black sheep and get picked on by the AFL.
He testified that he stopped, the player ran into him. There is no evidence apart from this. These types of things happen so many times in games it's not funny, hell I've done it to a friend in a shopping centre LOL.....
It was a farce! Certain players get screwed over, yes it's not just us but hell we should not have to lose our best tagger because of that farce. Disgrace! Welcome to netball!
Baker!!

Yes very good quote. Your the one pretending that everything is hunky dory... I'll give you a secret I think I said last year, the AFL are full of ego's who have their own interests at heart when dealing with situations. Most of us aren't looking for shooter on the grassy mound but to keep blindly towing the AFL's line is wearing a little thin.
Guess what, most of us are going to continue to be pissed off because it was a complete farce. You compare what happened when Barry Hall was allowed to play after punching goose in the stomach and baker you can't help but wonder. You know what, most likely it isn't courruption just stupid adminstration but it's still a big c**k up.

Get your hand off it is not playing the man I suppose. And who would you have running the AFL. You may not think they do a good job but the game is growing at the quickest rate ever so they must be doing something right.Solar wrote:playing the man as usual!plugger66 wrote:Yes very good quote. of course, but that is like debating a single policy from a government and dismissing the claim against it because overall they are doing a good job.plugger66 wrote:Get your hand off it is not playing the man I suppose. Stop defending the parasites,
I would like to see the AFL board be more open to scrutnary from the clubs, right now you pipe up and you cope it.
It was a c**k up, no matter how good the profits are going there are aspects of the running of the comp that are disgraceful
1) The tribunal
2) conflict of interests at board level
3) scapegoating certain players or officials when things go wrong (Grant Thomas, stephen baker, ben cousins, the kangaroos in general....)
So plugger66 do you think that everything is done well or are there certain things that just stink!

I think most things are done well but some things could be more consistant including the tribunal. I just will neber agree that the AFL have it in for the Saints or any other club for that matter.Solar wrote:of course, but that is like debating a single policy from a government and dismissing the claim against it because overall they are doing a good job.plugger66 wrote:Get your hand off it is not playing the man I suppose.
