A lot said about some of our stars that missed the intra club but very little mentioned about one of the most important parts of our line-up.

Anyone heard where he is, fitness/form wise?

it's funny, I went to training three times over summer and can't recall seeing him training at all. last session in fact he was just walking around in a tracksuit helping the coaches.
strangely though Ross said the other day that Max was in contention to play this week...

maybe he had a modified program, or just didn't train on the open session days...

I am starting to believe that any regular senior player that has a significant injury history has been deliberately rested or put into the rehab group for any open sessions and done as much as possible of their real training behind closed doors, in an attempt to keep our cards as close to our chest as possible for a change.

Anyone else get that feeling? We keep hearing snippets here and there of this one or that one training down the house, and guys gaining or losing bulk, but there are certain players that are just rarely seen at open training.....

Kosi sort of fits into that boat too, I saw him do a fair bit of solo running but can't recall seeing him in an open skills session. then he busts out looking fit as hell and is BOG in the intraclub

The truth could be anywhere from they're being hidden from open training, to they're really struggling and we're keeping it quiet, to a chance rotation through training regimes.

Yes but some of that is based on the hope that the Saint Kilda Sainters become more canny at somehow getting our best players up for the most important games of the year (Not the NAB in my opinion).

The investment in the Football Dept. partly inspired by Nathan Burke has been a great step forward. Luke Ball letting captaincy go for a while and putting all his focus into getting himself right inspires confidence too.

Looking forward to Rd.1 (Swans) and seeing them run around against the tigers.
