Isn't it funny what individuals see :D. I thought Raph was good. Took numerous uncontested marks due to good positional play, and generally held the backline very well. Possessions a bit sloppy, however will improve with a full PS and will definately make it.

Blake was as ordinary as ever. Kick out on the full from about 30 metres out, dropped marks and generally was the same old Blake, and I am a rap for Blake and am not critisising him, just that he wasn't very good, in my opinion of course.

McEvoy didn't play.
its very funny what the opposite side of the wing can do to your sight

raph, as the brother of xavier, has always had my support but ive hardly been able to use it and today in my eyes was no exception

it takes one to gather a few possessions but to utilise them succsessfully is the most important part

blake i often loath but today there were only a few moments (his out on the full included) where i muttered some abuse about him...his drill kick to gehrig was something iv never seen from him before

#46 (black) was silvagni i believe from scorps playing on gehrig and kosi....

Kosi looked sharp.. can play but still shonky in front of goals...

It was practically the scorps (black) vs saints (red) decent skills although sloppy at some stages which is expected...

#6 (black) matthews we should of drafted no doubt... watched him last year in scorps and is a gun came 2nd in b n f to biagi but definately is far better than many on our list....

King and M Gardiner both looked good as did Van Rheenan at some stages... Hopefully we have a good ruck division which will take us very far...

Blake showed more than ever how crap he is... cannot play football at all... one of the worst would of rather had any other player on the field on the saints list from the scorps

some changed but mostly it was the scorps players changing teams and no big names swapped to the black team really...

Arrived around 6 o'clock, most cars were turning into the carpark, made sense to go the other way and head off to a side street.

Saints won!

Thought the reds were easily the winners, the game seemed to be played mainly in their forward half of the ground.

Heard some of Ross Lyon's post match interview:
-Riewoldt had a couple of niggles, nothing serious, stomach and leg, or something. Will play next week.
-All other players not playing tonight probably won't play next week. Ball, a big "No".
-Kozi's put on about 3kg
-Clinton Jones grown in confidence to play with the big boys.
When asked who is the number 1 ruckman, Lyon said there isn't one, they work on rotation, and how they're played will depend on opposition team, etc.

Did someone mention a Citroen? Hard to hear the PA from some parts of the ground, maybe they were blissfully ignorant.

The players stayed on the ground, in a roped off section, for their cool-down, surrounded by supporters eagerly waiting for autographs. Whenever the trainer came round with the lolly bucket, Kozi took a handful and handed them straight to some kids in the crowd. Very funny.

I must say i was impressed with some things that Armo did in close, especially early on, good signs imo. That tackle on Dal was directly in front of me on the fence and i loved it!!

Joey, Kosi and gards looked the goods

skills were reasonably sharp considering the breezy conditions and cant wait till next friday night

that's our Kosi :)
was sitting to tea the other night when he walked past and ruffled the hair of a young fan- although that wasn't obvious to Kos as he wasn't in a shirt or anything. Was just a young person and Kos is great with them.
as is Fraser- ever tolerant.

I thought Mini showed a bit today.

He might finally have got the message.

Was one that played in both colours.

Spoke to Sam Gilbert in the car park after the game and he said he won't be playing next week, but will the week after.

Very impressed with Dempster and thought C. Gardiner reads the play exceptionally well. With about 12 potential first 22 players out tonight, there is a lot to look forward to.

So am I to assume that I was the only one who saw Bakes limp off late in the 4th quarter?

P.S. it looks like Geary is being earmarked for the role Attard played last year. He is clean with disposal and I would be surprised if he didn't play round 1.

Any thoughts on Milne? doesn't sound like he did anything?

Interesting how peoples views of certain individuals differ so greatly. While I saw the whole game it was difficult to follow some of the lesser lights with numbers that didn't match the team list and given the social nature of the crowd near the caravan with the green cans, it was near impossible to scrutinise every possession. My thoughts for what they are worth. Firstly, I thought Blake looked as good as I have ever seen him (I obviously missed his less brilliant moments) Joey and Kosi vying for best on ground. Thought Dal was ok - got plenty of it. Milne was very busy and showed he was a class above a lot of the triers out there. A lot has been said about Raph but I was happy with him and X, good to see them both out there. Gardiner and King both did enough to suggest the hype could be justified as long as they can stay on the park. Rix held his own in a few rucking contests as well. I basically walked away feeling very positive about the hitout - Harvey Gehrig Fiora S. Fisher were all solid. I was really interested in the likes of Geary, Eddy, Armitage and Howard. The Former 3 showed promising signs but I can't say Howard did anything much to enthuse me. At half time Lenny said McQualter was one of the best on the ground. T be honest I hadn't even noticed him, so maybe us spectators can be a bit rusty at this time of year too.

Milne actually played quite well..was often well up the field on the wing and midfield...going forward.

Only real blunder was once whe he tried to play on rounda man and got nabbed. This trick of Milne's is now too well known.

Milney was a bit in and out, had a quiet first quater, he actually probably finished with more handballs than kicks at the end of the day or close to which is unusual for him. He was generally creative when he had the footy. I'd say he had a pretty serviceable game overall.

the GTrain was letting Kosi take centre stage...and just cruised around the pocket HF. looked ok. Looked VERY fit.

fantastic. imagine how much easier it will be for both fraser and roo if the opposition has to worry about kosi as well. great news.
